I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that after they didn't cast Toby as the first Spider-Man, they decided that was technically a different Spider-Man who just went through a very similar timeline of events, but the Toby Spider-Man and even Andrew and Tom Spider-Men could still appear in the future!
