Why Hollywood Stopped Casting The Actor Who Played Hagrid

In the referred to 'National Treasure' (2016) TV series, Coltrane give THE PERFORMANCE OF HIS CAREER to date. In an almost impossibly difficult role, Coltrane EMBODIES his character, (on a multitude of subtle levels) leaving the audience ALMOST sympathetic to somebody we grow to KNOW. That WE LIKE HIM, or at least understand him, DISTURBS the viewer. (We sympathize with him, perhaps wishing we did not) It's a BRILLIANT PERFORMANCE, an an example of how Coltrane BECOMES the multi-faceted character he is portraying. (It's a Tour-de-Force) It also suggests that Coltrane's best work remains to be seen, as yet. (Though how he'd Top that portrayal, I can't imagine)
This video AT BEST attempts to be 'sensational' but is actually salacious. (HAGRID my arse, in fact) xx SF

you DO realize that not every actor in the world who once has played in a hollywood production dreams of staying in the circus forever, yes? that some actors feel completely happy in playing in british or other european productions, especially after they basically made enough money by being part of a long running hyper-blockbuster like Harry Potter, that they now never have to chose work for the payment anymore but can actually choose to act those parts that they most want to do?

Usually i like the videos from Looper. But this one was terrible. To not even have his name in the title, but just the actor who played Hagrid is just disrespectful. And you frame it as hes a starving actor with nothing to do, just because you arent in a Hollywood movie doesnt mean you dont starr in TV and movies, he is well-known in the UK for other things than Harry Potter.

Robbie Coltrane is a talented BRITISH actor who has had an incredible career and continues to do so in spite of his health struggles. The video doesnt even address the question of Why Hollywood stopped casting him, the answer? Hollywood has no problem with him and hes choosing not to do that sort of work right now

As the recipient of a replacement half-hip with a friend who just got a new knee (and will have the other one replaced as soon as this one's back to normal, I hope Hagrid will be back on the sets of quality movies soon. He was a shining light in the HP series!

Robbie Coltrane has had a great career outside Harry Potter and is beloved in the UK. He doesnt need high profile Hollywood roles. He wasnt known for that before, and he did fine.
