How Deadpool Changed Movies And You Barely Noticed draconis3: How Deadpool changed movies and you only give 2 examples at the very end to illustrate your final point. If you can't, or won't, point out examples to prove each of your previous points, then they're not real arguments on Deadpool's influence on the industry. If the marketing was so on point that it's an influencer, what are the following movies that copied that marketing style? And Iron Man was a B lister - only comic book fans knew who he was before the movie. And what other movies showed the power of fan hype positively influencing the studio? No one but it sets a new precedent. Weak. Help out those students with useless English majors and hire them to write your short essays for you.

The whole Deadpool comic was created as a one-off gag to fill in time in Marvel's off season. no one had ANY idea the character would go supernova like it did. It broke every rule in comics. the protagonist was a disgusting person, the 4th wall breaks, the constant shift between hero and villain, the total absence of respect for taboos and norms, the total absence of respect for all the other beloved Marvel characters. readers were starved for irreverence of that level. Reynolds understood that on the cellular level, and knew if he gave the fans a taste of it in the leaked ComicCon promo, they would go go to the ends of the earth to make sure it happened.

But why cant we get a galactus movie that also happens to be a silver suffer origin movie as well. But make it all about galactus, tell his story and dont even introduce silver suffer till close to the end of the movie.
Part 2 can be mostly about silver suffer and his background. While showing what he does as galactus herald.
And then part 3 should be about when silver suffer turns on him and no longer wants to be his herald.
Boom there goes a trilogy that Id wait in line to see!

Well Deadpool alongside the X-Men and Fantastic Four are now going to be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe alongside the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Defenders, the Agents of S. H. I. E. L. D, the Runaways, Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the Wasp, Cloak and Dagger, Ghost Rider, the Punisher etc.

I noticed a few ways how deadpool has influenced a lot of superhero and action comedy movies.
Most obvious was suicide squad. You know that all those re-edits and re-shoots were to make it more like deadpool.
I counted like 7 music-based scenes reminiscent of deadpool in the first 15 minutes or so of that movie.

Loved Deadpool. I loved it 3000. BUT. I think it's popularity was responsible for the bad humor of Thor Ragnarok. Which while okay could have been much better. Thor quipping Deadpool style especially at the beginning was annoying. It was like Captain America telling Limericks.

Just imagine what would happen if Warner Bros. and Dc Did a live action Freakazoid movie back in 2016. He would be able to overshadow the Deadpool because hes a fourth wall break and He produced by the same people who did Animaniacs and Tiny Toons adventures.

4th wall breaking (Ferris Beuller's Day Off, disguised advertising (Blair Witch Project, genre experimentation (From Dusk til Dawn, B-characters in main roles (Teen Titans) unprecedented? Y'all haven't seen a lot of movies and TV shows, have you?

Brooding and myopic. That's why DC movies don't do as well as Marvel. Dark and gritty do not have the appeal to general audiences as events happening in broad daylight.
