It is pretty weird to see in the 2002-2007 and 2012-2014 Spider-Man movies that she is represented as a very old lady but when it comes to the MCU movies (2016-Now) she is represented as a much younger and hotter lady with red hair not grey, what gives?

In the comics I always got the feeling Aunt May was short for great-aunt or sister of a grandparent. I had a great aunt who was essentially for all practical purposes my grandmother, but I called her Aunt Evelyn she was the sister of my mother's father.
