Tarantino Just Took A Public Shot At Simon Pegg General: You only have to look at Tarentino's Django to see how this will turn out. Django was white in over 30 movies of which Tarantino claimed to be a fan of. Makes a woke piece of garbage trying to cash in on the cult franchise name (sounding familiar. By all means make a western Tarantino, but your western wasn't and won't ever truly be considered Django. It should have had a different title 100%. He hasn't made a decent film in a long time, his star has long been fading and I'm more than a little worried he's doing what Hollywood has been doing for a long time now. A lazy, stagnant attempt to revive his career off the back of someone else's work.

From what it sounds like, the concept is they want Quentin to capture that 60s/70s energy and vibe from the original show since he does it so well in his movies. If that's the direction they want to go since everyone can agree the franchise has been on the decline with each installment these past years. It's worth a try. Using R rating to emphasize the cold brutality of space and not an excuse to drop F & N words might help his vision.

I can just imagine how Tarantino will treat the famous line Where no man has gone before and it isn't pretty. Since Pine probably won't be in it, what difference does it make? I have read a whole lot of science fiction and there are many novels that would suit Tarantino perfectly. In fact, Hollywood has barely scratched the surface of the genre.

Dont think he should go anywhere near it. I love both him and the orig Star Trek. 2009 is the only decent new one but Quentin should do a stand alone. If its a complete off topic movie then great.
He shouldnt touch the cannon stuff. If its some mad crazy made up story, R Rated then it would be great. I just dont want him near Spock haha

I think Tarantino wants to direct Star Trek, but that whole deal is a mess because Paramount owns the Kelvin timeline version and Viacom owns the original. and the new streaming version sucks. I doubt Paramount will green light it as the media is shitting all over him over the Sharon Tate thing. to be continued. smdh

This was so unnecessary. Simon Pegg was only trying to reassure fans (and investors) that Tarantino's version wouldn't be a huge departure from what makes the franchise special. Tarantino should start a new IP if he wants Pulp Fiction ins space, that won't be Star Trek. I personally doubt this will ever transpire.

Would absolutely love to see a Tarantino-space-movie -- something original of his is always brilliant -- but I'm not too hyped about a Tarantino-star-trek movie. Well actually I'm not hyped at all.
Also sucks to see my one of my most favorite actors and one of my most favorite directors not getting along.

It has to be a side movie, if its Rated R. It has to be separated from the previous 3 including cast. It doesnt make sense going from all ages to a 4th film being aimed at adults. It would be better as a darker movie and separate exploring a side crew perhaps. Or a straight up reboot lol

I think Tarantino should go and be part of Machete Kills in Space or develop his own scifi movie than pick up whats left of Star Trek and ruin it even further with gore. Oh wait, Tarantino has a history of copying other movies or stories and making them his own image. Lack of imagination maybe?

Tarantino is a twat. Why do people act surprised when he acts like a twat? Perhaps if people give him less attention hell smarten up. When a dog shits on a rug, do you give it a treat? Because all of the coverage this cock gets is like cookies to him.
