Jeremy Renner Has A Strong Message For Sony About Spider-Man Victoria: Lol Sony and Disney r gonna have to come up with something. Sony cannot afford to lose Holland, their other Spiderman trilogies never did as well as the past movies with Holland. Yes they made millions but the ratio of how much was spent to how much was made is very different. Sony never made the amount needed to make past spidey films worth it. If they lose Holland, Sonys going under and honestly by the looks of it Holland wants to stay in the MCU fam. I do agree with Stans daughter tho. Disney and marvel arent deserving, but now a days Hollywood is abt money and staying alive. Either way Disney could honestly come out on top, if Holland leaves sony. Yes Sony has Into the Spider-verse, which did exceptionally well and won an Oscar, however its not Sonys highest grossing movie ever and between Venom and the sequel for into the spider-verse, theres only so much money that can be profited and distributed until a bigger company buys them out. Plus, I feel that with all the fan backlash and logistically speaking, both companies have screwed themselves, because of basically putting Holland into the center of the MCU, especially after the death of Tony Stark. Sony could just pick up where FFH left off, but itd just be really awkward. Sony could also do a crossover with Venom, however that honestly might be too soon, considering how FFH ended. I also dont think fans would appreciate such a skip and such a gap between story lines.

Im wondering how many villains Sony has rights to. Most of the best have been used already. Im not looking forward to seeing Spider-Man face off against Frog-Man.
I mean, Spider-Man has a built-in audience, but is undeniably better and more valuable as a component of a larger cinematic universe with a larger built-in audience.
Hollywood has already made Spider-Man kinda suck on multiple occasions. If Sony owns it, they own it, but it seems like its in their best interest to rent it out to very trustworthy clients with a demonstrated knack for improving the value of the assets it handles.
Sonys latest reboot was pretty fing lame and theyd need yet another reboot to move forward. I cant imagine that Sony and Disney cant crunch the numbers and both make bank while keeping moviegoers happy.

Disney received little nothing from the stand alone films that are set in the MCU and have tremendous success based on the fact that the universe gave them a better platform. At the same time, Sony makes billions, hundreds of billions. Asking for half, isnt being greedy. Its understandable. Im not on either side, i feel like either side should do what ever it takes to make a good deal happens. because each side will undoubtable lose money in the end. Sony has proved they arent going to do well with spiderman, alone, in the long run. & at the same time, spiderman was being set up to be the next-up as far as a main stable for the Avengers and MCU. so no deal = bad spiderman and a very weird mcu that could end up crashing.

Spider-Man belongs in Marvel. For Sony to pull him from the MCU just now should damage their public image. There are plenty of other companies manufacturing electronic products - Sony, you are going to lose hundreds of millions of PS5 sales. I won't buy a Sony TV, dvd player, stereo system or anything else they make ever again if they don't allow Disney/Marvel to keep Spider-Man in the MCU and progress from 'Far from Home'.
After the buzz from Endgame, this is inhuman of Sony.

Personally I could care less who has the rights. I just want amazing Spiderman movies. It wouldn't be great considering he's already in the MCU continuity and wouldn't be if only Sony continued on with his movies. Still though, I can't trust Sony to make a good movie considering I only ever liked the Raimi Spiderman 1 movie (not 2/3) before the Tom Holland version came out. The Amazing Spiderman movies were both poorly written and never stood a chance.

I kinda just want for sony to make 2 venom sequels and and 2 spider verse sequels, and then give marvel all the rights to spiderman and all related characters, that includes venom. I know that that sounds dumb, and that will probably never happen, but it was just a thought. And im not siding with disney, if thats what you're wondering. I wanted disney to get the full rights to spiderman, but not like this.

Disney may not be the better person, but people would rather watch a Marvel Studios Spider-Man movie, Sony hasnt made an ideal Disney Movie since 2004, Spider-Man 2 The Amazing Spider-Man flopped and spider verse was not even about Spider-Man really. Venom was good but it wasnt a Spider-Man movie and now they cant really incorporate him into a. Multiverse.

DISNEY chose to make spiderman super important and he is. Hes huge important, but marvel/disney need to grow up. They're being greedy. Retain the old deal or one sony likes since it's their character and you own too much already. They wanna tell a good story. Grow up and work a better deal. Greedy disney/marvel

IT'S NOT SONY'S FAULT, DISNEY HAD 5% AND THEN REALIZED SPIDER MAN IS ONE OF SONY'S HIGHEST GROSSING MOVIES COMING UP ON 007 AND THEY WANTED MORE SO THEY ASKED FOR 50%! And of course Sony is going to say no to this Offer
Sorry for Caps just confused about Disney being such a greedy Company.

People see Sony as the bad guy because they love Spider-Man and hes seemingly being ripped away from the one company that got the character right. Sony may not be the bad guys but you gotta give it to Marvel. they did a damn good job. Lets just hope everything works out for the web-head.
