The lady president of Disney gaves a f. of the canon consistence in the Star Wars movies. - She read the Mandalorian script and knows this stuff was better than her The Force Is Female T-Shirts! - Sorry but no, she was one of the undertakes of this franchise before the Mandalorian drives the Falcon away from its grave!

Gotta agree with everyone else on here. Kathleen Kennedy has to be kicked to the curb, YESTERDAY! Her and JJ the franchise killer Abrams need to be fired ASAP. Star Wars 7, 8 and 9 were abominations. They were Star Wars for kids with ADHD. JJ has no clue how to connect with his audience through his characters. He just throws as much crap at you as fast as he can and hopes you dont notice how shallow and poorly made everything he makes is. Neither of them has any love or genuine feel for the material, just the money it will make them.
The Mandalorian has been a great show so far thanks to Favreau and Filoni. If KK or JJ put their greasy mitts on the show Ill stop watching it IMMEDIATELY!

IMO They ruined the latest batch of Star Wars movies to the point I wish Lucas never sold them. I stopped watching the movies and just read the novels. Mostly Old Republic stuff. But I just watched 2 episodes of the Mandalorian and I was blown away in that short amount of time. A suspenseful plot, visually pleasing. It definitely reminded me of the original trilogy which was a plus. Its obvious they have the right people involved. Its a quality show unlike the movies they are pushing out for profit. BTW why would you even mention Kathleen Kennedy like that was a plus?

Thanks to Boba Fett we knew what a Mandalorian looked like.
And thanks to the assholes at Disney, Boba Fett and papa Jango Fett are arbitrarily NO LONGER MANDALORIAN. Instead Jango is nothing but a filthy armor thief, and they are both essentially posers pretending to be Mandalorian. A pretty sharp contrast to the fact that, pre-Disney, they BOTH held the title of Mandalore; the leader of the entire tribe.

After watching the first 2 episodes, my initial thought:
Disney looked at Firefly and thought - we can do that.
It's a space western, like Firefly - and it will be successful as Firefly - unless Kennedy has to much her Force is female fingers in it, then it will bomb like the movies they produced in the last 5 years. but I like Rogue One - that actually was the only good one.

They should've let Favreau direct the new trilogy! It would've been 100 times better! I just tried to watch the Rise of Skywalker, because I wasn't paying to see it in the theater. I got about 25 minutes in and had to turn it off. It didn't feel like I was watching a Star Wars movie. With the goofy dialogue. All it was missing was a laugh track in the background.

Keeping the star wars story canon. yeah. sure. we're still talking about Disney here, right? They're not going to keep it consistent with the characters and story, and they aren't going to keep toxic politics out of it. unless disney is actually looking to make a profit with this. than they might have a change in direction.

anyone remember the names Peter Jackson, Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, The Hobbit? When I hear Kathleen Kennedy I have very bad feelings about this series.
