Easter Eggs You Missed In Star Trek: Picard Episode 5 Brian: I just re-watched Voyager, Season 7 Ep2 - Imperfection and I have to say that the events in Picard gave that already above average episode additional gravitas and emotional impact.
Besides being the episode that Icheb saves Seven with his own cortical node, it was also the episode that Icheb 1st decides to join Starfleet. The only thing that I think STP could have done to make Ep5 even more emotionally powerful was to have Icheb be discovered on Freecloud by Seven right before he is killed rather than having him killed in a flashback.
This Episode's events did something I was not expecting, it made a standard, mediocre episode of VOY suddenly have some real emotional weight and long term relevance that it did not have with previous viewings.
I recall the trailer that showed Seven cradling a person and many, including myself, thought it was Chakotay, but it being Icheb made so much more impact. The relationship with Chakotay was barely beginning, I think they had only been on three dates by the finale - Worf and Troi had a more developed relationship than Seven and Chakotay. But, Icheb and Seven had more familial dynamic, unlike Seven and Chakotay relationship which may have just been little more than friends with benefits.

THE EASTER EGGS YOU NEVER CARED TO KNOW ABOUT
in a series where NO MAN EVER CARED TO GO
IT IS VERY BAD when you look down the line of Star Trek Picard and there is
nothing of a single episode as being outstandings
Instead almost all the videos are on easter eggs no one cared about as the series
for politcal reasons was BURNED DOWN TO THE GROUND.
No easter eggs could ever make up for the utter train wreck this series was
Where the main writer in an interview said He wanted to PISS OFF FANS
and that in his veiw and staff the fans were trash.
Nothing says NOT STAR TREK than this.

Unfortunately I do not find the show 'Picard' satisfactory. I believe that for show needs it was necessary to take some steps back in the exhibition of the life of the Federation created by Rodemberry. Life in 'Picard' is not the life built in TNG, Voyager, or DSN, and Im sorry about that.

Ok, I have to say it. Picard is slow, derivative, dull and predictable. It's taken this 5-episodes to get to an obvious arch in the story. Let's put it this way, I am not waiting with great anticipation for the next episode. I predict this will be one season and cancelled.

So far, every Easter egg video has missed the X-Men Easter egg. When Rios enters the bar a person to his right leaving has holographic wings. It's a nod to Angel who, as Archangel, was in the novel Planet X, a crossover with ST: TNG and the X-Men.

Also I wonder what Q's son will think when he finds out what happened to his childhood friend Icheb? If father Q raised him right this should never have happened unless they had a falling out in the intervening years.

For myself I have but 1 fear, destroying the Dream of the Federation!
Compared to such a loss, I DO NOT FEAR ALEX KURTZMAN!
ooooh crap, after seeing what they've done to Trek so far, maybe i should.

Well older Janeway intervened in the timeline, thats why Iched didn't make it further in the future. So by saving Seven's life in the Voyager finale, she doomed Ichebs.

You missed another easter egg. The first scene in the club shows a female alien playing a song by Scott Joplin (a 'rag'time composer) entitled, 'Solace'

They turned the best character from Voyager from a scientist, engineering expert into a foul mouthed drunk. Im done with this crap.
