The Ending Of Brahms: The Boy 2 Explained huntercrunch: Something I found weird is that during Joseph's exposition dump, he says everyone involved in the first movie have long since passed or something like that. That made me think for a second that the first movie was supposed to take place decades ago or something, which I guess isn't implausible, seeing as Greta uses a landline to make calls and I don't think any new technology was used in the movie, but then it showed that the Hillshires died in 2015.
At the end of the first movie, Greta and Malcolm got away. There aren't any explicit references to either of them in this movie, but the wording of that line made me think they were supposed to be dead too. unless I misheard, or they were just referring to the Hillshires. idk.

The doll is so adorable! In my opinion this movie wasnt that bad but not as good as the first. However, Im not against the killer doll concept (kinda like it honestly) and I dont mind that the movie was twisted back to incorporate the supernatural.
They should have had Brahms speak in the cute little voice he did in the first movie
And also. one thing that didnt really make sense. if he wasnt named after Brahms Heelshire. but in fact existed already. why was the doll Called Brahms! Also in the first movie he was smashed and there was no weird alien thing inside, how come there was in the second movie?

I'm confused. So Brahms was the guy who committed those murders and was possessed by the spirit in the doll? So why does the spirit in this movie call itself Brahms? If its possessed countless people in the past, Brahms Heelshire is pretty inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. So why would the spirit tell Jude its name was Brahms wgen Brahms was one of the hundreds of people it's possessed in the past? If that makes any sense

At the start, Mom is getting home from work; the kid jumps out and scares her - this kid is young enough for a doll - which begs the question - where the hell is the nanny or father! Also, we never learn whether those intruders get what they are after. I told the Academy that that kid should get an Oscar just on his not-speaking for most of the flick.

Me and my buddies went to see the first movie with high expectations. Everything was going well until the ending came and it turned out the doll wasn't haunted, it was just a grown ass man living inside the walls of the house and moving stuff around when no one was looking. Worst horror movie of all time, it's just a troll like Brahms himself.

Brahms the boy (first one) was thrilling, awful and had a amazing story. But Brahms the boy 2 wasn't thrilling, awful and even I didn't understand it's story. Especially the last expressions of Jud!

I did not like it, it was very cliche but failed to go through the story in a way that was engaging IMO.
It felt like there was not a lot of effort in it. Dissapointed.

Gotta say, I get that Katie Holmes is the star. But why dont these horror flicks just kill off the husband in the beginning. These flaccid dad roles are just turning me off.

Dont know why they bothered making a second one if they retconned the ending of the first one. last writing at its finest just to spew out another movie
