When it comes to cinematic terror in the water, we've got sharks in the Pacific, we've got sharks in the Atlantic, and we've even got sharks in the streets of Los Angeles. Here are the shark movies you have to see before you die. Dalavine: I still haven't seen Bait 3D, The Reef, Sharknado, or Open Water, but only want to see the first two.
I actually saw a few minutes when my gramps was watching it years ago, but it was the middle and I meant to get back to it. and never did.
As for what I have seen, great list!

I might be too harsh with it but I don't consider 'Meg' should be on this list. Horrible dialogue, a downgraded bootleg Marvel version, having Johnathan Statham turn every line into a pun. Characters that could've been interesting and had depth, but it doesen't happen. And, although I'm quite oblivious to this aspect most of the time, a bunch of people pointed out how bad the shark effects are

they did NOT eat the meg alive! seriously? did u even see the movie? the meg died because the actorr(i forgot name) basicly put a needle in the shark eye with poisen, of wich it died. and then after its dead she other sharks go and eat it while its dead. not alive!

These movies make the sharks look like the bad guys, but the truth is folks, they're in more danger from us than the other way around. Yes people do get attacked, but most of the time that is by mistake.

My top 3 are:
#1 Deep Blue Sea
#2 Jaws
#3 The Reef
I got every shark movie on dvd. Even Shark Attack 3 for guilty pleasures haha. The worst shark movie ever is The Meg for me

I hate when people say The Shallows is bad because it's unrealistic but then they praise Jaws which is even less realistic than The Shallows. I love both movies and think they are very enjoyable.

JAWS is the nesting grounds of the best shark movie. In its premiere people did not go to the beach in droves that summer and JAWS was t the 'birth' of all summer movies thereafter.

Some good movies here. The Reef was really good, very underrated. The blending of actual shark footage with the actors made for a very believable movie.

Sharknado is absolute garbage and should not be recommended to anyone, whoever oput that in the list needs a smack across the head
