Why The Magistrate From Mandalorian Chapter 13 Looks So Familiar

Chapter 13 of The Mandalorian was easily one of the most important episodes in the show's run so far. Fans have been waiting to see the fan-favorite Clone Wars character Ahsoka Tano appear in live action ever since Rosario Dawson was cast in the role, and her arrival didn't disappoint. On top of that, the episode finally revealed the Child's real name. There's so much big-picture stuff going on in Chapter 13 that it's easy to lose track of what the episode's self-contained story is even about. After all, not only does Ahsoka Tano turn down training Grogu and send the Mandalorian to the yet-to-be-seen planet of Tython, but it's also revealed that Ahsoka is hunting the legendary Star Wars Expanded Universe character and Rebels villain, General Thrawn. However, there is a story in this chapter that is contained to just this episode and it's a good one, too. Essentially, Ahsoka and the Mandalorian team up to take down the evil magistrate, Morgan Elsbeth, on the forest planet of Corvus. And while Tano battles Elsbeth, Mando faces off against her lackey, Lang, played by the '80s action icon Michael Biehn.

If you watch closely Lauren Mary Kim double for Diana Inosanto as well. Lauren Mary Kim has done stunt work on Netflix's Defenders series where she doubled for Elodie Yung. She also was the motion capture double for Ahoska Tano for the final season of Star Wars Clone Wars when Ahsoka fought Darth Maul. Lauren Mary Kim has done stunt work in DC's Titans where she doubled for actress Chelsea Zhang's Ravager.
