While I agree that I feel bad for the movie theaters, the need to even go to a movie theater lately (even before the pandemic) has been a pain in the ass to inspire; not many see the joy in it anymore. Netflix technically already killed movie theaters a long time ago, because we all know it'll show up on Netflix eventually, and/or we just wait to buy it on DVD in a month or so. Plus, there's been better content for streaming services versus what's been hitting theaters lately.
Other than that, I don't feel bad at all for the A-Listers getting hit with this at all. They're the ones preaching alongside the governors keeping everyone on lockdown to stay inside, so on and so forth. It's about time they got their asses knocked down a peg or two. Will this make them wisen up? Probably not. I'd like to think it would though. We'll see.

There's a theater open close to me and as much as I want to see Wonder Woman 1984 in theater on the 25th or 26th, the FILTHY theater and overpriced food in there just makes me rejoice that HBO Max is there to literally save the day. If you want to sit in a filthy theater in the middle of a pandemic to see a film, then you do you. But I will be watching these films on HBO Max in the safety of my own home. Celebrities should be advocating for this. Not protesting against not getting MORE millions in the middle of a pandemic. It sends the wrong message and Im shocked their PR team doesn't see that before they leaked their talent's name on major trades as part of those A-listers who are fuming at Warner Media's decision.

If the studios were smbv art they would all agree to release their movies on simutaneous online distributors the same same day as a ticket purchase. BUT, at a lesser price than a movie theater. Just like they were renting a movie. Since it is a new release they could pro-rate price across 30 days. Then re-release for another month but at a higher price, no pro-rating. Then take it off the market for 3 months while promoting its sale across a wide number of online distributors. So after 5 months it is available for home ownership.

I feel like it's time for the movie theater business to take a huge shift. We've been doing the same thing for almost 100 years. Its time to change with the times. I don't even feel bad that it took a PANDEMIC to do it. Were such bad creatures of habit that we'll do the same thing over and over until something breaks. Personally every theater I've ever been to had been way over priced and cold as hell. The only thing okay with the experience is taking your significant other on a date

Black Widow, Wonderwoman, EVERYTHING Marvel. I find these superhero movies complete crap, especially now that they are all tossed in together. Guardians of the Galaxy 1&2 were enjoyable cartooney movies in a world far from here and now - and far from Iron man style superheroey, then even those were mixed in with the rest. Too bad, another ruined unique idea.

Boo whoo, im sure all these actors will be fine in the mansions counting their millions, I absolutely hate the decision of going streaming as I love watching movies in the cinema and I liked when blockbusters was a thing too, we are going way to smart and its crushing jobs and social interaction.

Im more than happy about this decision. No one in their right mind is going to risk their or their loved ones' lives by going to a theatre which in any case has become a lousy experience with sub par sound/vision, lousy people opening their phones and kids screaming or kicking my seat.

People do not mention Disney came out and said they will be doing the exact same thing BEFORE WB did, All WB did was say what titles will be coming to the streaming service. People make out WB are the ones to single handly take out cinema's and not one peep about Disney.

No one is expecting a Movie Star to work for free, but if acting is something you love you would do it for free, wouldn't you? Oh my you are not going to make a few more million because of a pandemic. We have all made sacrifices, and some more than others.
