The Untold Truth Of The Lord Of The Rings

The Lord of the Rings is arguably the most iconic fantasy series of all time. But what are the real stories behind author J. R. R. Tolkien's beloved literary classics, and their cinematic adaptations? This is the untold truth of The Lord of the Rings. As Tolkien explains in his foreword to The Fellowship of the Ring, the tale of The Lord of the Rings grew in the telling, with the author discovering more of it as he went along. This was largely due to the fact that the story had found its beginnings as a sequel to Tolkien's previously published children's book The Hobbit. The thing is, The Hobbit was initially supposed to be a one-off thing. In a letter to his publisher, Tolkien discussed how he was struggling with the sequel to his beloved work, which had only been connected to his other Middle-earth writings by virtue of an occasional name-drop, or the odd character crossover appearance such as Elrond, the son of Earendil the Mariner. However, the success of The Hobbit led to such demand for more that, eventually, a sequel became inevitable. Even as the new book slowly took shape, though, it continued to be seen as another Hobbit book rather than its own story. For example, Tolkien's close friend and literary sounding board, C. S. Lewis, was known to refer to the work simply as the new Hobbit. Once Tolkien settled on making Bilbo's ring the connecting point from one book to the other, however, the new Hobbit grew into a massive story one that could easily stand on its own.

As an aspiring fantasy writer, lord of the rings is my greatest inspiration. Hate to see cookie cutter fantasy where they throw fantastical elements into a pot and brew up some rehashed uninspired work, the symbolism and complexity of the story, how everything ties together, the poetic writing and storytelling, how you just know when you read it that there s so more to the world than the words on the page, it s brilliant

Why is it so hard to acknowledge that Christopher Tolkien, son of JRR Tolkien, the caretaker of his literary heritage and the person who knew Middle-earth the best after Tolkien himself, absolutely hated the movies. That he stated the movies butchered the book and turned Tolkien's creation into a monster. How is that not worth a mention? Is the opinion of Ralph Bakshi or Christopher Lee really more relevant?

Area 51 is a Time Travel Facility. They also make Human Terminators. Aliens do not exist, just Time Traveling Americans. We are in a computer/superhuman simulation controlled by beings far older than us. God is a Female Terminator, a wormhole was created in March 2016 and contact was established. Male Terminators act as Cell Phones and establish the Wormhole to who knows where, possibly another dimension.

I watched the 3 movies on the theatres. I went to watch Fellowship on the rings not knowing anything about it. Me and my dad looked at the poster and thought: '' that looks cool. I still remember the poster, it was of the nine nazgul all lined up on their horses. We had no idea the kind of movie we were in for loool. That was awesome.

I watched Lord of the Rings for the first time three years ago. I couldn't believe that I had never watched it before.
I just bought the 4k remaster, it's truly incredible. Top 3 trilogies of all time.

The true story of Middle Earth isn t of the Final War of the Ring but the Origin of the World and of the Silmarils. and of the Final Battle and the Ending of the World. Translate into Quenya.

Lord of the Rings is an all-time epic classic. The best thing that happened to fantasy literature. I can only hope Amazon won't butcher this universe.
