The opening of HBO's The Last of Us is very different than the start of the iconic game it's based on, but it's all-the-better for it. Here's why. fadethechannel: I mean, the character wasn t that fleshed out in the show. Even the couple of scenes given, I didn t have an emotional attachment to the character. And I only watched abour an hr of gameplay when it first came out and never played the game lol

I didn't feel anything in the series The Last of Us. No emotional explosion.
I couldn't have imported myself less when Sarah died.
I just didn't believe Joel and her relationship with her. The connection was not made.
She, even with more time in the series, seemed to have less personality than Sarah of the game.
The game had less time with Sarah, but the character is somehow impactful.
With a better time, they could not sell me the relationship during the series.

In my opinion, the beginning of The Last of Us series should have been as fast as in the game.
They could have gone slower and developed the characters in more detail later.
But the first part should be fast, blunt and have a huge impact.
When we are thrown in a shocking situation and we were stunned by Sarah's death.
Instead, it's all slow and there is a lot of conversation and everything ends up diluting itself losing impact.

The threat and drama were mitigated in the series The Last of Us.
An infected manic neighbor chasing Joel and beating violently at his house in the game.
Joel looking frantically by his gun shooting him.
Now is an old woman he hits his head? Why? When the original game Sarah said you killed him, his voice trembled.
Sarah from the series was flat. Nothing, had any impact.

The Last of Us series was average. Expected excellence from HBO and Craig Mazin.
It offers a very generic science fiction vibration with an occasional appearance of zombies (infected.
What was that plane crash before Sarah's death?
This kind of confusion is unnecessary.
Need a plane crashing to get the idea that the world as the characters knew is changing?

reply

The changes made to make the series The Last of Us, less violent and the cast.
They are not as good as their game counterparts (or I must say appropriate, not to mention the appearance.
I know the upper version. Therefore, it is unlikely that this series replaces the game. It won't even be close.

As expected, The Last of Us series is the lower version of the game.
There is really nothing that can be done about it, considering that it is difficult to compete perfectly.
The characters and the story in their best form already exist.

The thing is the last of us isn't about Joel and Sarah. It's about Joel and Elle and that's what we want to see. They wasted half the episode watching Sarah do homework and not eat cookies lol

Joel, when Sarah was alive in the series The Last of US, seems strange.
Not the sweet, playful Joel from the game before the infection and his daughter dies.

reply

Pedro Pascal is really not good as Joel in The Last of Us series.
Troy Baker's incredible performance being Joel in the game without comparison.
