The New Indiana Jones Has Disappointed Fans For One Glaring Reason

Was it the action? The writing? The side characters? Fans who've gone to see The Dial of Destiny all seem to agree that the movie got one thing wrong. James: Let's make this clear when it comes to franchises like Indiana Jones, Star Wars, & etc you're never gonna win majority of the fans over as time goes on because people watch these movies and shows expecting it to resonate with them in their 30s, 40s, & 50s but when they were 5-17 and that's the problem with the audience they are now adults with world views mixed with cynicism

It was not the best movie but it still had it s moments. The CGI was bad as expected but I was also kinda disappointed that they didn t really have the usually big boss fight that we have and what we did get was just the big character getting handcuffed to an underwater grate. We also do need to remember that Harrison Ford is older now and we re not going to get all of the amazing fights and set pieces that we got in the best. Honestly it s below Crystal Skull for me but higher then Temple of Doom:

I agree that you could feel the bad CGI especially in the opening scene. But also there were a few story line holes. The making of the young Indiana Jones was almost perfect, amazing technology. Perhaps the only thing that felt a little weird was the voice of Indiana. Overall though, I thought it was very entertaining.

Capitalist Realism is corrupting art and entertainment. We have no vision for the future and return to the same well of ideas because it worked before and made some money. Capitalism's great promise of innovation has failed to materialize.

From all the comments I've seen on videos and articles, fans are actually really liking this one, calling it a fitting end to the franchise - which disappoints me. I didn t like this movie for pretty much all the reasons mentioned here.

It wasn't the cgi or the fx, but the fact that Indiana Jones is a passenger in his own movie with her god daughter locking him up to die and she didn't regret or apologize for it at all when they met again in Tangier

The God daughter was too obnoxious. She was patronizing, unfunny, and very conceited. Also the kid not knowing how to fly a plane then learns in 30 seconds and flies through an actual time portal was silly lol

Frankly being made by director of Logan I was expecting to be great to the point being one of the best movies and probably best Indiana Jones movie but sadly wasn t the case

I think you skipped the glaringly obvious reason fans hate this movie: Indy being shown up and beat up and talked down to an obnoxious Mary-Sue.
reply

My biggest problem with the movie was how bloated it felt. It needed much, much more editing -- like at least 20 fewer minutes in the final cut.

ridiculous. Many of us were not disappointed at all. Just because someone complains about an IP doesn't make them a fan or the fanbase.

Received fairly positive? Guess thats the same type of comment that their telling us its doing well the box office.
