There are two requirements to be a Disney princess:
1. Wear a dress
2. Have an animal sidekick
These are literally the only requirements, the official list of Disney princesses is: Snow White, Jasmine, Cinderella, Aurora, Mulan, Ariel, Belle, Merida, Tiana, Rapunzel, and Pocahontas. They all fit. And take a look at the princesses who didnt make it, Moana, Kida, Eilonwy, Anna, and Elsa, they all miss one of the two requirements. And before you come at me about Moana, she has an animal sidekick yes, but the outfit she wears is not technically a dress.

There wasn't really a 30 year princess gap. Everyone forgets about the Black Corduron the was princess in that movie the only reason it didn't do good is because each both times that they put in theaters another movies had more known characters. Like the Care Bear Movies or was basically a movie yo introduce the care bears and they cousins for the show, there was also the Chipmunk Adventure which made bank in box office. So technically it wasn't a 30 year gao

Actually Ariel is supposed to have long silvery hair. Also, Vanellope von Schweetz is the youngest Disney Princess at 9 years old. And 2 things about Pocahontas, 1) She's not a princess, and 2) She's 12 when she met John Smith, who was never in any kind of romantic relationship with her.

Merida was not the first princess without a love interest. I think the very first was technically Tiger Lily from Peter Pan (1953. Eilonwy from The Black Cauldron (1985) also lacks a love interest. She is good friends with Taran, the main character, but they are not canonically in love.

Notice when Ariel had nail polish that was kind of weird because that story is supposed to take place in the 70s nail polish came in see-through and hers are literally pink pink team sometime after no forget what I said about the 70s its actually the 20s it was all clear

She was never a princess.
Perhaps she should be set aside for Princess Elonwy from the Black Cauldron. An actual princess, which Disney loves to ignore.
Also Princess Kidagakash from Atlantis. the other ignored princess.

Im calling bull on the Merida-no-love-interest thing being the first princess to do so. Jasmine spearheaded that when she blatantly refused to be forced into marriage when her sultan father wanted her to and even ran away to stop any forcible unions.

I think that Anna & Elsa are not in the official Disney Princess line up because Disney is setting up a Disney Queens line up since after Frozen 2, Anna is the current Queen of Arendale and Elsa is technically the Queen of the Northuldra Tribe

SNOW WHITE WAS 14 AND JASMINE WAS 15! HOLY ST! I thought they were older than that! For many years, I already knew all the others were at least 16-18 and Elsa was 21. I thought Snow and Jasmine were around that age range. Geez!

Regarding the Disney Princesses' ages, besides the 16-year-olds Ariel and Aurora, I've always assumed they were 18 to 20; except for Snow White. Truthfully, I kinda thought she was 13 or 14; and I was right.
