I know that a lot of celebrities are considerably wealthy and that they have the best designers, along with their newest creations, at their fingertips. I guess I can also understand, to a certain extent, the desire to make a splash at galas and red carpet events, as well as appearing fashionable and/or put together on a daily basis to show off their fashion prowess and to keep themselves relevant. Now, Im not saying that the way to stay relevant is solely achieved through the clothes you wear but its undeniable that image and perception is everything in Hollywood so being glam and dressing your best certainly cant hurt. Having said all that, I am still surprised when there is any mention of a star wearing a dress for: :: gasp! :: a second time and oh! the horror when its worn a third time. I mean, are we to believe that famous people merely where an outfit once before throwing it away? And if that is happening then that is ridiculously wasteful and the very opposite of trying to live sustainably. I just think we should stop bringing attention to that, especially the people who believe celebrities should be lauded and given a medal for wearing the same thing twice. I mean, clothing isnt one use only, do they not know that?

Unfortunately, Avril has better success with dresses than hubbies. 0 and 2 at this point. Oh dear. Too young for #1 and she and Chad should have just kept the relationship and skipped the nuptials. I had never seen a pic of Angelina's gown. what a fabulous idea, and Dita's is just gorgeous.

Why do you consider these to be unconventional wedding dresses. The bride should be able to wear what best suits her sense of style. In some cultures white isn't for weddings and is worn at funerals and what is considered correct in some countries is not right in others.

Gwen's dress is my favorite. She inspired me when I picked out my wedding dress. Once I saw hers, I couldn't imagine having just a plain one color dress. Mine was white, but had hunter green running throughout the top as well as the train.

I understand that pink is not a traditional or common color for a wedding dress, although dresses in light pinks and light blues are becoming more popular all the time, but I fail to see why it was deemed controversial.
