Can people stop bringing race into EVERYTHING? Seriously a list of fictional couples should not be made into a race issue, that just makes everyone look incredibly petty.
On this list there is a gay couple, a couple of different species, couples will illnesses and couples from different social classes. But it isn't diverse enough because the actors and actresses portraying them are white? Seriously? Grow up people. Racism is a serious issue and people are turning it into a travesty.
This list will be irrelevant in three days, can we save the outrage for things that actually matter?

I would go for Atonement over Pride and Prejudice since Elizabeth and Darcy had been done before, and often.
Jamal and Latika from Slumdog Millionaire deserved a mention, while Bella and Edward from Twilight did NOT. I would prefer even Anakin and Padme from the Star Wars prequels over Bella and Edward.
Now for sc-fi couples who (unlike Anakin and Padme) wouldn't make a lot of fans snicker, what about Spock and Uhura from the 2009 Star Trek reboot, or Jake and Neytiri from Avatar.

I unfortunately see a comment that says that Noah and Allie are unlikable. Excluding a great couple like Dr. Elizabeth Masterson and David Abbott from Just Like Heaven(both played by Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo, respectively, who are both more relatable on so many levels, is sad enough, but making a totally overrated couple your number 1 pick is what pushes the limits to how upsetting it is.

Twilight is one of the worst pieces of shit ever created and doesn't remotely deserve an honorable mention. where's Britney & Jesse ( Bring It On! : All Or Nothing, Will Turner & Elizabeth Swan ( Pirates of the Caribbean series ) and Tony Stark & Pepper Potts ( MCU? Hell, even Anakin Skywalker & Padme Amidala ( Star Wars series ) are a better couple than those losers from Twilight.

Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightly? Puh leeze that movie was terrible. The only movie of P&P worth watching is the one with Colin Firth and Jennifer. It's the only one worth watching. Keira's P&P can be used as a doorstop or paperweight.

I always end the Moulin Rouge before she collapses that way i can pretend they run off the stage into the night of Paris never to be seen or heard from again. Like my romantic movies to end on a happy note dammit lol

In my opinion the Notebook is overrated. I cry at everything and I didn't tear up once during the movie. Maybe I'll watch it again to see if I like it more. In the meantime though, Jack and Ennis should be #1
