Real #2: Love songs during Ballroom Dance scenes (Tale As Old As Time in Beauty and the Beast and So Close in this movie)
Real #1: Male protagonist does not know y everyone has to sing (Eugene Flynn Rider Fitzherbert in Tangled, saying I dont sing, and Robert in this movie, saying Dont sing. Its OK. U know, lets just walk. And both r forced to sing, Eugene during Ive Got A Dream after 20 swords come near to his throat and Robert during Thats How You Know, bc. I dont know. Maybe bc its catchy song.

I wonder if re-purposed animation can count as a reference or Easter Egg, too. Because I think that one of the mouth movements I saw in the clips in this video for the character for Nathaniel came straight out of The Hunchback of Notre Dame. For a split second, I felt I was watching Quasi's mouth. Either that or they had some leading animators from Hunchback return for this movie and it just sort of happened that way instead of being re-purposed animation.

This is so cool! It is not just the storyline but also the casts and some Easter eggs as well!
But is it just me or that part when the queen (which became a dragon) died, who was falling down into the fire while holding on to a tower remind me of Frollos death in the Hunchback, and also as she was saying something and the camera angle was looking at her from below with thunder storm in the background reminds me of when Ursula turned into a giant.

About Narissa, to me, not only is like Malificent and the Evil Queen, but like Ursula.
The name Narissa literally translates to from the sea. She even view the world through water. And her dragon form not only has small wings, but her tail tip looks like a fin.

If you ask me, Thats How You Know is a reference to Oliver and Company, particularly montage during Good Company, during which Oliver and Jenny spend some quality time in Central Park.
Edit: Theres one more reference! Phillip. Robert Phillip. Prince Phillip.

Just like Shrek enchanted are also parodying and referencing other Disney movies. Disney should be having more movies like this and zootopia(because zootopia is done similar thing just with more adult movies and TV shows. Enchanted should be bigger hit.

This is probably the most underrated Disney princess movie of all time. Even though everyone lived happily ever after, I wanna see more of this world. Especially the animated world which Nancy and Edward ended up in the end.
reply

Like Snow White? True Loves First Kiss
Like Cinderella? Looses her shoe
Like Aurora? Having animal friends to help
Like Ariel? Comes from a different world
Like Belle? A great ballroom dance with a romantic song

Narissa's live action costume looks almost identical to that of the evil queen's in Once upon a time when she was singing love doesn't stand a chance. And also why do i think that giselle's statue looks like robert?

My #1 would've been The Magic Mirror/Television! Dumbo is my #2 favorite Disney Classic behind Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and Fun & Fancy Free is in my Top 10! Also, the whole television sequence is hilarious!

I was in love with animated world of the movie
It's a shame we don't get to see a lot of it and that Disney stopped with the traditional animation style

Here's another one: The suit Robert wears at the ballroom sequence is the same one the Beast wore while dancing with Belle in Beauty and the Beast.

They should have just called this movie Giselle to prevent confusion with the Anne Hathaway movie Ella Enchanted

The 2 elderly women at the ball that say that it was better than last years show, were also in older Disney movies as well.

Not to mention that Robert is like Flynn from Tangled when he questions why is everyone singing out of nowhere.
