I know that Ill probably get crap for this but I didnt mind the movies so much considering that they had some serious ratings constraints. Which is one of the reasons the movies didnt flow so well. The unrated versions are a bit better. Also the actors really didnt want to be involved so they really didnt commit to their characters nor put more than minimum efforts in making the movies what they could have been. Yes I read the books and know that they arent the greatest examples of writing nor of the BDSM world, but its not like they could have competed with the likes of The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty series by Anne Rice(writing as A. N. Roquelaure. If you want a truer look into the BDSM world you should read The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty series(been one of my favorites since my senior year in high school. I had a Mother who doesnt believe in censorship so I was exposed to a variety of books from an early age) needless to say I got into a bit of trouble from staff at my boarding school who didnt like it when my mother told them that she would decide what I could and couldnt read NOT them. So I learned how to make covers for my books and I wasnt allowed to let anyone else borrow them. Of course this was a school that banned Catcher in the Rye so my books drove them nuts. They were extremely happy to see me leave after graduation, and the headmaster was afraid of my parents so high school was interesting to say the least.

Everyone has different tastes in things. I personally liked the movies. I saw them for free so I didn't feel cheated in any way. I was simply enjoying my day off from work and I got to escape for a little while. It's fiction for Christ's sake, based on the make-believe world of the trilogy. A woman who never wrote before became uber-rich at nearly 50 for becoming an author for the first time. I just see the positives in many things. I was even curious about what this list covered.

Reading the comments I realized that no one in here really watched the trilogy and have any idea of what it's really about, all of you don't see the very important message in it and development of characters. I feel sorry for you guys, with your ignorance you can't see one of the most beautiful love story ever!

Okay I just watched all three of them and it was not that bad if was better than how they ruined star wars trilogy with the new shity movies. Why do people hate these movies? Can someone tell me? Because you know what you are getting into when you start watching these

If you have read the book, You'll totally understand. I read it and I can say, the author is putting the reader in Ana's situation, It is her point of view. Though it is a bit cringey in the movie. I'd prefer the book

I never thought about the movies that way. I enjoyed the story and the actors. Never analyzed the plot. When I watch a movie and decide I don't like it, I turn it off. I enjoyed the trilogy.

I think that helicopter crash scene should've been first. That scene came out of nowhere and they just move on and are totally fine afterward.
