I noticed on the last season of So You Think You Can Dance 2 major flaws, that show how scripted things were. First during the Massive dance sequence of the boot camp before the contestants were finally picked all of the top ten got dance sequences that they were highlighted in, and the final zoom in shot at the end of the dance sequence had all the top ten dancers right in the center before eliminations for everyone else had been done meaning that at that point anyone could have been in the top ten or could they. Secondly the fact that the all stars got to pick 3 people to mentor then pick the one they liked the most to go on the show as a finalist, ironically even though they all picked men and women at first somehow even though they had free will supposedly to decide who they wanted the final selection came out perfectly even with boys to girls, and again they were all the same people who were highlighted and in the final center shot on the first day of boot camp dance sequence intro. The odds of 10 people picking 3 people each then dwindling down to one each and that them still coming up with exactly 5 girls and 5 guys, and more so for all of them to be in the center and highlighted in the dance routine are astronomical if left to chance alone.

I stopped watching shows like the Bachelor years ago when I did pick up on some of the secrets that were mentioned here. I do still watch certain reality TV shows though, but they're all competition ones and all involve something creative- RuPaul Drag Race, Face/Off, ANTM, and Project Runway to name a few.

that cooking one is kind of obvious. I mean, you really think they come up with those recipes (depending on what they are, maybe) AND those designs (if there is one) in those few seconds before the host says go? Like on Cupcake Wars or Cake Wars, they immediately have the designs all ready and whatever stand they need in mind. they're obviously told the ingredients and/or the theme before hand.

Reality TV is so faked, that's why I stopped watching Survivor after season 2. It got to be more about backstabbing and less about survival. and only drama that I watched one single season was Big Brother with the crazy wackjob guy who had a knife and jokingly went to stab-stab someone. He got kicked out obviously the next day.

True about #9, British reality show, 'I'm a Celebrity. ' 'Love Island', and 'Ex on the Beach' are filmed outside the UK but there are some shows like 'Big Brother' and (occasionally) 'Geordie Shore' (not the recent series, which is done in Australia, where it is filmed locally.

I usually don't like Reality TV, except for Kitchen Nightmares and Hell's Kitchen. I love me some Ramsay. But I'm sure even those have been tampered with slightly. Just to be realistic with myself.

Survivor, The Amazing Race and Big Brother are the best reality shows. There are people who might enjoy RPDR/ANTM/The Challenge, but the first 3 are much better and actually real.
