But basically she did it to become a name and help her acting career.
After watching that interview I completely changed my opinion of her.
She was strategic af and besides getting what she wanted in the end, she also didn't stay quiet about some of the staff being homophobic and all the shit treatment the contestants got behind the scenes.
Sure, she's still not my favorite person ever, but she is not dumb or ungrateful. And that just shows how much our opinion on the queens is distorted and entirely dependant on rpdr editors (and we all know they're just interested on what makes the audience gag.
Take season 9 for example. I, like so many others, were clueless about the whole Valentina issue.
Just watching the show we had a view of her, that wasn't true according to what happened on the reunion episode.

Nothing here really surprised me and most I figured out myself already. Earbuds? Of course, I mean does anyone think those judges are THAT funny without help? And I assumed that there was some prep for outfits happening. How else would the girls always just happen to have dresses to fit every weeks theme? Most of them can't sew anyway. As far as the confessions go, anyone that watches any reality show like this knows that those aren't filmed right after the fact. It's the same for MTV's Challenge or all the Real Housewives shows. I didn't realize that security was that tight at night. Can you imagine having to babysit those girls when they're bored? Not me mama Ru.

it was a cover up, willam was trying to get kicked off, production was not feeding them properly and willam left premises but with other queens, producers were not calling them correct names being disrespectful, she stole, got queens high and drunk, last day of production willam went to ny to do a show for the french festival (all said by her in her interview with joseph shepard)

Yes, Rupaul is the queen of drag worldwide, but is a SAD fact that he uses the image and freshness of new talents to always renew his own and stay on top, (hence taking advantage of promoting his failed songs for example.
When Rupaul says bring back my girls, if its true! he owns them because they are his slaves and this video confirms it once again. Sad but true.

I think that people sometimes tend to forget that RPDR is a REALITY TV SHOW, not just a competition. Of course the queen's have to follow a strict contract, of course several things the judges and Ru says are planned and of course Ru puts on sort off a role when the camera's are rolling. The producers do what they gotta do to get the views.

I heard the reason they film the finale is because when season 4 was airing, someone (I believe Perez Hilton) spoiled the winner before the finale aired so they wanted to avoid spoiling the winner
