As much as I love the nostalgia of Hakuna Matatta, it's the most overrated song of the franchise.
I honestly think I Just Can't Wait To Be King is the best musical number followed by He Lives In You. I'd put Can You Feel The Love Tonight at 3 then Be Prepared at Four with Circle Of Life at five. Hakuna Mattata I'll put at six. One Of Us I'd say is seven. Then 8, 9 & 10 is up for debate but Just Can't Wait To Be King is without a doubt the best and He Lives In You is highly underrated and at number two. It's more powerful than Circle Of Life by a long shot. It may not be as iconic from the opening imagery but the song itself is more powerful and better in quality overall.

No! I don't agree! Yes, I agree with Circle of Life being #1 as it should obviously always be, but It just feels like you dumped off all the Lion King 2 songs. It's almost like you ranked each movie/adaptation first, and then ranked the songs within each, which shouldn't happen. All of the Lion King 2 songs are awesome beyond measure, and some of them (Not One of Us & He Lives in You) are better than a few of the Lion King songs in my opinion.

Be Prepared shouldve been top 3, it is so chilling and undoubtedly my favorite villain song with Hellfire. Also Thats My Lullaby shouldve been on the list, as I feel Ziras song is just as maniacal as Scars because shes literally sings to Kovu about preparing to one day actually kill Simba, not just simply dethrone him.

Well if circle of life wasnt number one I dont know what would be. Its still probably one of my favorites from the original movie. I have not really watched other movies in the franchise. I have of course, went to see the 2019 version. Didnt like that as much. Love the original movie soundtrack. Circle of life my fave

What's Ironic about NOT ONE OF US is the animals didn't know that Kovu wasn't blood related to Scar. Scar was his father but NOT is biological father. He just took him in.
