I think Rugrats is one of the best cartoons ever made. It had heart and humour, ability to entertain kids and adults, it represented other races, cultures and religions, and the parents weren't only feeding and diaper changing every five seconds. As shockingly inattentive as they were, they had their own personalities, lives and problems. And now that I'm older I can't stop awwwing over the babies and laughing at the things they say.

5: 00 ACTUALLY Nickelodeon Studios SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED that since Tommy's family is Jewish, that they do a Jewish holiday episode. They were supposed to do Hanukkah first. but Hanukkah isn't as meaningful as Passover. so the producers called back and asked Nickelodeon if they could do Passover instead and Nickelodeon said yeah that's fine. It was a big hit

That Toho lawsuit fact is bogus. It was inserted on the Rugrats episode list on Wikipedia on April 26, 2014 and removed on May 13, 2014. Someone shared this fact on Reddit on May 3rd, and that post has since earned over 400 upvotes. I couldn't find news articles dating from the show's run or court documents on this imaginary lawsuit.
