I knew Celine was going to be #1! Her French career and catalogue is impressive! Also, not just D'eux, but also Still Suffisait D'aimer (literally a second-runner up behind D'eux) and her collaborations with JJ Goldman are incredibly mind blowing! She also has many french albums and many that have topped the charts in every major francophone country. And, fun fact of her latest French CD, Encore un soir: It actually entered into the Billboard top 200! If that's not impressive, she has also sung in many different languages as well and even released an album of those hidden gems! Look for The Collector Series Volume One where she slays tracks in Japanese, Spanish, French, Italian, English etc. Why stop there. she also won the Legion D'honneur prize in 2008 because of her impact in France and her francophone career around the world! Best woman ever. Period.

Not finished with the video just yet. Im on #7. I think #1 is going to be Enrique Iglaseas, (hopefully I spelled his last name correctly. I first heard him in Spanish class in 8th grade when my teacher played Dimelo in the classroom. Dimelo also has an English version titled Do You Know (The Ping-Pong Song) and its quite obvious why. The beat of the song really does sound like a ping pong ball bouncing across the table. Ive heard other songs by Enrique, but Dimelo is definitely my favorite, most likely due to the fact it was the first song by him I remember hearing.

being legally blind like myseld means nothing in ability to sing. i also went to a blind school and there were more musically inclined people bc the lack of vision highens thearing. that was an idiotic comment.
also most of those languages are latin based and have very little variance on most words.
bjork is incredibly unique and really one of the only ones on this list that isnt a latin based singer. icelandish is one of the most difficult languages to speak let alone sing.

seems like Spanish is a popular language to sing in. I wonder if there are any major American artists who can sing in a different European language (aside from what was already mentioned in the video. Also, this video mostly covered artists whose native tongue isn't English. can there be a list of native English speakers who sing in a different language?

Mike Patton - sings in English, Italian and Spanish - I'm guessing he doesn't get a mention because he's better known for singing with bands rather than solo (Faith No More, Mr Bungle etc) but I'd have thought his Mondo Cane album earned him a mention.
