Top 10 Songs We All Listened to in Our Emo Phase

Top 10 Songs We All Listened to in Our Emo Phase

video description

Rating: 4.5; Vote: 2
We all went through the emo phase! Do you remember these songs? For this list we're looking at the tracks that made our angst-filled years worthwhile. We're basing our choices on a mix of over-the-top lyrics, emotional performances and how each song defined our darker years. We're also excluding bands like Green Day who were listened to by emo kids but were much closer to the hard punk scene. weve included songs like Note to Self by From First to Last, Sugar, We're Going Down by Fall Out Boy and more!

im really sorry i dont mean to be that guy but From First To Last arent an emo band and neither are Story Of The Year and neither are The Used or Hawthorne Heights and especially not P! ATD, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, or even My Chemical Romance. Only saying this because emo music really means something and these bands are certainly not it. Bands like Sunny Day Real Estate, Brand New, American Football, Jimmy Eat World, and Saves The Day really change peoples lives especially me. Emo Forever(and im not even emo, just know great music when i hear it)

i never listened to Saosin, From First to last, Misery Business came WAY later to me and the same goes for Hawthorne Heights. BUT i listened to AFI - Decemberunderground, 30 Sec to Mars - A Beautiful Lie, Silverstein - Discovering The Waterfront, Story of the Year - Page Avenue, Funeral For a Friend - Casually Dressed & Deep in Conversation

I was never emo. I have suffered through real abuse and depression and anxiety.
I watched the list to see if I could relate. For the most part it seems like a bunch of songs for people who want everyone to know they ate depressed.
The music is also a little to dramatic for me, though I can see artistic vision behind it

I thought I went through emo phase but I never heard these songs nor these bands except MyChemicalRomance. thought thatBlink 182, Linkin Park, 30 seconds to Mars, Yellowcard, Rites of Spring and Tokio Hotel, Green Day and Embrace were emo.

. Thats not what Im Not Okay is about.
Its about the feeling of being the therapist friend when youre also dealing with your own shit. Taking on other peoples problems when you, yourself are not okay.

I was never an emo i will consider myself as a punk phase cuz i just liked the mohawk of Travis Barker. The only reason i had a mohawk not because i liked them or the style i just thought it. looked dope.

I always listen to Bring Me To Life from Evanescence and Everybody's Fool, and Three Days Grace, Seether, AFI, and couple others, including Symphonic Metal
reply

When did Sonny Moore (Skrillex) become the vocalist for the band from first to last though? I honestly thought he was the original for so long.

reply
