i can bet this movie shows us how Ronan became the mass-murdering fanatic he was in the first Guardians of the Galaxy. he started as a loyal solider, but some event in the movie show what happened to change that. it probably wont justify what he would do later on, but at least we'll be able to understand it.

U know it would be an ironically crazy plot twist if at the end credit scene of this movie shows a time skip to present day showing her turning to dust like everybody else and the part with Nick calling her was just to get us hyped for the movie
