You know, after watching season 3 the one about Jason and Cheryl makes quite some sense. it's the same story with Penelope. She was adopted to get raised as Clifford's sister, but when they were adults, they had to marry eachother. That's something that gets told in the flasback episode. There is a chance, that history has repeated himself.

Think about it, jason and Cheryl are twins, Cheryl is the same age as Betty, Betty has an older sister who is supposedly the same age as Jason. but Jason is the same age as Cheryl who is the same age as Betty. this means that either Betty and her sister are twins or supporting a theory in the video, Jason and Cheryl arent actually twins.
