No I do not agree to Kanye's incident being what pushed her career forward. This woman had already sold MILLIONS of her album copies when that happened and she was just starting. She had the potential and was already expressing it.
What the incident did was putting a toll on her mental health and putting her through a lot. From that moment she has constantly been associated with the incident as if that was the only thing relevant about her, as if it had made her famous.
It has shadowed her talent because so many people can only see her work from behind the incident window. For that, she had to put in 10x effort, had to metaforically wear a shield and has suffered a lot.
Her biggest moment for me is when she decided to make Miss Americana and tell her side of the story, even if it shows a little girl who was afraid of being herself and many have judged her for it. And before that, she took a stand for human's rights and that's the thing that should tell you the real story of who Taylor Swift really is.

I dont get how you could rank a moment where she says 'other will try to take credit for YOUR accomplisments' and then rank the moment with Kanye like 'this made her tougher' like almost giving Kanye the reason, no, that was a shitty situation and SHE made the effort and the work to turn that into growth. She did. He did nothing, he gave nothing.

After watching Miss Americana and hearing her answer I mean if we're just saying what I wish I could eat every day if calories didn't count is chicken tenders, it kinda broke my heart a little bit. Like she couldn't just say chicken tenders because she felt guilty. But now I'm sure she lets herself enjoy them! :)

Do you see the irony? Her second most iconic moment is the Grammy speech where she says people will take credit for your fame or success and then in first place the Kanye situation made her become who she is? Really? She was successful already. Totally disagree with that BS first place!
