It's too bad that this video wasn't posted after February 2019. I personally think Bao should have been higher in this ranking. It was awarded for the 91st Academy Awards Best Animated Short Film. As a Chinese Canadian and also an alumni who went to the same post secondary institute that Director Domee Shi graduated from (although I completed my degree in a different field than the Director, very proud of Director Shi to represent the Chinese culture in a Pixar animated short film.

Piper is my favorite because of the coincidence i experienced with it. I had gone to see Finding Dory for my birthday and when i saw the title pop up for Piper, i got so excited and my mom and friend both looked at me, because they were surprised too. Why did i get excited? Because it was for my birthday, and it showed my name. It was a pretty good day of just me.

Presto was honestly one of my personal favorites, not only cause of the magical reason of the most common magic tricks, but also for that old-school gag that I can never get enough of. Please bring back that Tom and Jerry kind of humor, I bet it would be amasing with how far animation has come.

Well, not sure what the criteria was. This list made no sense to me. Based on story and entertainment, my list is:
1. Geris Game
2. Day and Night
3. Lava
4. Bao
5. Partly Cloudy
6. Presto
7. La Luna
8. For the Birds
9. Piper
10. Luxo Jr.

My sister made an interesting fan theory, on the Alien adduction short when we were little. She said remy was able to control Alfredo, because he was the dude that had a failed alien adduction ( seeing as he got hit and thrown around like a rag doll )

God damn it watchmojo. You make a list thats almost good and then do what you always do. Just because its the OG you dont have to put it in the #1 spot. There are better and more entertaining shorts than Luxo jr. You dont have to put it at #1

10. The Blue Umbrella
9. Bao
8. La Luna
7. Lifted
6. For the Birds
5. Presto
4. Piper
3. Geri's Game
2. Day and Night
Honerable mentions: Tin toy, Lou, Partly Cloudy.
1. Luxo Junior

reply

My favorite is LOU. The Spirit of Fairplay & Consideration occupies the Lost & Found box near grade school children's elementary school. Attention all bullies! LOU doesn't tolerate bad manners nor selfishness!
reply

There is no Pixar short that deserves Number 1 more than Luxo Jr. Not only did it introduce Pixar's mascot, it was part of my childhood since it was on the VHS copy of Toy Story 2.

289: My favorite loving Pixar short films are Presto, Bao, La Luna, Partly Cloudy, For The Birds, Luxo Jr, Lava, Paperman and Inner Workings (2 arent Pixar)
reply

You're smoking the good stuff if you're going to leave Bao at #9. A short that makes an entire cinema collectively gasp deserves more love than that.
reply

In My opinion Tin-Toy is too creepy for being On that list - mostly because of character of baby with greybeard face who is destroying other toys.
reply

I didn't watch the video yet, but For The Birds, as a child was the FUNNIEST thing I had ever seen, and will forever be my favorite.
reply

Sadly I'm a little disappointed: Blue umbrella should be higher, personally I hate Bao, Tin Toy is a nightmare
Anyways - Pixar rules!

What was the one where the box was on the beach and there was some type of animal plz comment if you know what I'm talking about
reply

Piper is visually brilliant and a testament to how far technology has come in terms of realistic mimicking the real world!
reply

Presto had me falling out of my seat and struggling to breath! That short is definitely Pixar's funniest works!
reply

WatchMojo already made a list of greatest Pixar films. And by the same woman too! Maybe this IS a reupload!
reply

I always loved the cloud one LOVEEED the lava one and the bird one all the other ones not my favorites
reply

I would of put Burn-E In the list. I've also showed Piper to my class at my school during geography.
