Are the people who compiled this list teenagers Because I see this as a list discounting some very classic SNL sketches that have a lot of staying power such as the Cheeseburgers sketch while praising some sketches that look to be highly irritating, such as the Lonely Island sketch. And I'm sure the only reason why you're praising Mr. Robinson's Neighborhood is because you heard about Mr. Rogers praising it in connection with the publicity behind the recent Mr. Rogers biopic starring Tom Hanks. Ultimately, though, SNL is a show mainly for young people, i. e. teenagers and people in their twenties, and if you're not in that demographic you're not going to find the sketches from the era funny, and that's the problem with this list, is that the people who made it aren't from a variety of generations. You should try to make another one using input from people from the ages of 20 - 70 to get a better measure of what is and isn't timeless about the show.

Steve Martin was indeed timeless in his King Tut skit (as well as his 5 Xmas Wishes) John Mulaney is both timeless and memorable for his B’way musicals, monologues (not surprising) & for the fact that almost every time he hosted, the entire 90 minute show was great. It’s rare for an entire SNL episode to shine thruout the whole show but as a former writer, John brings both his old skills & his standup abilities to make each episode work. Also, Dana Carvey & Phil Hartman’s impressions were always spot on & hysterical. Indeed, Dana did a recent impeccable Biden impression that was up to his Bush & Perot standards. Finally, a callback basically to every single sketch Matt Damon has performed in as a host. He’s a treasure. And a joyful one at that!

I think y’all should do the 20 most niche subjects snl has ever parodied. For eg: Liza Minnelli tries to turn off a lamp. I’m not a broadway hound but I understood EVERY JOKE that sketch made.
I can tell not a lot of others get it, but iykyk.

The Barry Gibb Talk Show With Jimmy Fallon. While it might have been funny at that time, bringing it back 8 months ago was a mistake. No one who didn’t grow up with it would understand it and just gave it fall flat.

Philip the Hyper Hypo, the 1 with Nicole Kidman. Also, the music skits with Tracy Morgan dancing, Jimmy Falon playing the keyboards, and I remember who sang. The Hogwarts skit with Lindsay Lohan was great too.

I believe the Word Association Sketch by Chevy Chase and the late Richard Pryor is both a Product of its Time and Timeless in my opinion and it is also a very memorable sketch too and I love it too.

The cowbell sketch was aired in 2000, people still talk about it, when people see Walken in public they mention cowbell, it will be on his headstone, but he's done so much more
