This is how I imagine a scene:
aladdin rubs lamp and gets shocked when he sees genie
Genie: TEN THOUSAND YEARS WILL GIVE YOU SUCH A CRICK IN THE NECK! My goodness my bones are all over the place, CAN SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE?
a bunch of genie doctors comebin and operate on him
Doctor 1: sir his spine is twisted in knots!
Doctor 2: oh this is bad. Bring the saw!
genie fixes himself in an instant
Genie: oh I guess we're not using the saw!
Doctor 1 and 2: oh man!
both doctors disappeared
Genie: oh that feels SO MUCH BETTER! Anyways who are you.
Aladdin: Ala-
Genie: WOW! You are a lot smaller than my last master. Either that or I'm getting fatter. Look at mebfrom the side do I look different to you?
Aladdin: Okay, first question: Did you just come out if the lamp?

I gotta admit I am a little nervous whether theyve chosen the wrong director as Aladdin is not really a guy Richie type of movie, however I researched and the Aladdin live action actually has another director helping Richie who has done child friendly movies, there are also lots of producers involved, Alan Menken, an Disney so Im sure theyll put Richie in his place if hes going a bit of the subject of fantasy for medieval on the filmmy only hope for this movie is that its just as magical as the original despite some of the casting choices an changes theyve made, I hope the movie is so spectacular that everyone overlooks the flaws an only sees the positives!

this isnt Robin Williams version of The Genie, this is Wills version and I think this is gonna be a great remake, because it will have amazing music, awesome updates of the characters, we know and love in the different perspective and seeing what they gonna do to the story, and of course all the Magic of the Genie is gonna do, and even I can imagine about what the magic carpet is gonna look like in a Whole New World

Why cant movies these days be historically accurate? Like Mulan should have an Asian cast completely because thats what it was in the time the story takes place. Same with Aladdin. Diversity doesnt matter. What matters is the ethnicity makeup of the people in the places and time the story takes place. Dont throw rando people in there that shouldnt be there to begin with because that wouldnt make sense

i really hope will smith plays the genie really full of energy and animated like robin williams did- i feel like his acting is more lowkey whereas robbin williams was a comedy actor which made him able to do the voice well. he also marvelled in doing lots of different voices in his spare time, and in some ways i don't think will smith will be able to do the role to the potential it has.

For anyone upset about casting a white actor to play an original character from a FOREIGN land, Arabia was no ISOLATED. There were many cultures going in and out of the region. Also, marriage back then was for POLITICAL reasons so it would make sense that a European prince who be a suitor for an Arabian princess, probably to unite the two nations.

That picture of Jasmine and Dahlia reminds me of Mia and Lily in the two Princess Diaries films. I'd love it, if these two have a similar relationship. Also, if they include Proud of Your Boy, which I hope they do, I think it'd be cool if that happened in the form of a flashback. It'd give us a chance to sort-of-meet Aladdin's mother.

I think Aladdin being a prince was always subject to Aladdin. I never considered that a plothole, personally I would argue they shouldn't fix the poltholes. The movie was originally released with those same plothole I don't think it hurts the iconic impact of the story. I think it would be a waste of time if they actually focused on it

Aladdin was my favorite Disney movie as a kid before Lion King came out. But I have no interest in the remake, its going to suck, the animal characters look awful! If they couldnt get it right with their other remakes like Cinderella and Jungle Book, even Dumbo looks terrible!

Aladdin is technically not a prince, well not in the first film. Genie simply meant he can make him look like a prince with the clothes and the entourage, royalty is inherited by blood, not by simply saying you're a royal. A king is nothing without his country.

I would love a short one-off, maybe deleted scene of Cassim showing up when Aladdin is a kid and they somehow work together for a minute getting away from the guards before parting ways, none the wiser that they are Father and Son.

I'd like to see more Rajah really. But I'm also afraid of what CGI Rajah would look like, and if my favorite lovable tiger will end up creepy like Shere Khan in the Jungle Book remake. (One of the gazillions out there)

Disney was originally gonna make a prequel to Aladdin called Genies that would explore the Genie realm, which turned into the new Aladdin movie, which probably would have some elements from Genies.
