Btw, I enjoyed reading so manty of the comments on here, which all started because I was telling a close friend why Miranda was my favorite, for all of the reasons others of you mentioned, and more. Samantha was great fun--my second favorite character-- and it briefly annoyed me to read that SJP was responsible for Kim Cattrall having no desire to reprise her role. Carrie was my least favorite, too. How could anyone be a writer--and so insightful-- and yet continue to make the same dumb mistakes, especially with the same guy? It makes her appear to be ruled by her admiration of rich men (and maybe her hormones) instead of her wisdom, which by the age she was when she married Big, you'd think wisdom would be a more dominant character trait.
Charlotte was the most sterotypical in the beginning--the prim, uptight, reserved WASP, but she grew a lot over the course of the show, and ultimately got way more lovable.

SATC came out when I was about 10. My favorite characters were always Miranda and Samantha, with Miranda scoring a tad bit higher than Samantha. Miranda was intelligent, reserved yet quick- witted, kind, loyal, and hardworking. I liked Samantha's character for that same reason. I connected more with Miranda because I wasn't as outgoing as Samantha.
I didn't mind Charlotte's character but she was extremely judgmental towards Samantha yet her and Samantha were doing the same things! The only difference was that Samantha slept with a different man every day and Charlotte slept with a different man every week! Charlotte made sense of her promiscuous actions by calling these flings her boyfriend. My least favorite character was always Carrie because she was boring, selfish, and lazy.

1: 05 in fact, it's one of the few instances in my overly articulated exceedlingly verbal life, where it is perfectly appropriate if not preferable to shut up.
1: 15 her confidence came out the moments when she really needed it.
1: 45 she is not trying to impress anyone and always seemed to feel comfortable being herself.
2: 25 we can envy for it is her self-assuredness.
2: 25 she is a realist and pretty knows how the world works well.
3: 35 she had a successful career and didn't apologize for it. take much of her identity from her job.
4: 30 being introspective. ackonwledge them.

So New York City actually protects New Yorkers from the Beckys with cyniscism so Mirandas character represents New York here where that kind of behavior isnt excepted here (which would be classic tv version of high school bullying in other places) actually and thats recognized by systems who try to tweak the attack of the California clueless movie Beckys to make it effective in New Yorkers. So that should be watched for. And the scene where Miranda cuts her finger is that trying to get in it cant because New York is cynical naturally. Source and husband and old money victims 2007

Miranda was my favorite and the best. She juggled being a mother and have a career. She was the only out of the girls to do so and the first to get a mortgage. She was witty, funny, pestimisitc, and unapologetic for being herself. However, the new Miranda in And Just Like That is absolutely horrific. I can't stand her. It's sad to say that my once favorite character is now my least: ( I never thought I would say carrie is my favorite now

Miranda and Carrie are the two women in this series that should be forced to wear big warning signs. Charlotte is a princess, but is faithful and decent. Samantha is a garden tool meant to chop weeds, but demonstrates and ask for little monogamy. It's the other two, Miranda and Carrie, that are garden tools too, but act like they should be treated as princesses. They are for the streets.

nobody will admit this but Carries difficult and sometimes childish personality is what held their relationship together. Can you guys truly see people like Charlotte, Miranda and Samantha being close friends with all Carries problems? We underestimate how important SJPs character is to the four friends we love! Thats how I choose to see it.

Such chick pandering. Miranda was boring as hell. For a so-called Harvard lawyer, she didn't think, act or talk like one. Just thoughtless character dev meant to be cardboard support to horseface Carrie- the intended star of the group except Samantha was the one worth watching.

Miranda will always & forever be my favorite. but lets face it aside from the obvious, her seriousness & logic & common sense she was hilarious lol and her romantic situations were pretty funny. In the end her arc wasnt about embracing emotions and thats just beautiful.
reply

And then they COMPLETELY ruined literally everything good about her in the reboot. Abandoned her friends, her husband and son, and her home and career for a romance with someone she barely knew.
reply

Carrie is the worst of all, spoiled, selfish, and throws her money away with shoes, I don't like how Miranda eats, she chews with her mouth opened and talks with her mouth full.
reply

Yeah this video didnt age well, did it. Went from being one of the best characters of the show to being the most horrible character in the sequel series. Charlotte is still the best
reply

Miranda never really thought Steve was good enough for her because he was an everyday guy. That bothered me. She acted like she settled. Steve was awesome except the affair.
reply

and Just like that absolutely destroyed mirandas character, while people change and evolve the miranda character on Just Like that has totally been changed and destroyed
reply

I find Miranda tiresome, and they NEVER gave her a good hairdo. In the new show, she is totally unlikeable. Hate the new show. watch it and pray it gets better.
reply

She used to be such a great down to earth character. This person she's become in the new series is just. nothing like the Miranda we used to know and love.
reply

I completely identify with scene where her coworker threw her under the bus for being late. May I remind you, when my mother died- I was back on Monday!
reply

Miranda was loyal in SATC, but then the writers went and completely BUTCHERED her character completely in that dumpster fire of a tv show spin off
reply

Miranda is almost as bad as Carrie. She's a woman who gets to have her cake and eat it too, but she's miserable because she doesn't like cake.
reply

Watching the series now and shes still my favorite. Shes raw, confident, and knows what she wants. I hate how Carrie treats her some times.
reply

the only time i didn't like her was when she patched up with the guy who cheated on her in the movie [steve] didn't like the movie man
reply

I guess none of you were ready for and just like that.
Time to make a new video and call it to 10000 reasons Miranda IS the worst.

reply

She wasn't my fave on the show but she definitely had logic and wisdom, especially at 6: 00 when she literally read my mind.
reply

When you realised Ms Mojo has Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte in their best list while Carrie is in their worst list. TWICE!
reply

Actually she wasnt the best by any means. She degraded and put down stay at home moms and housewives every chance she got.
reply

#5: She put Steve through the wringer to prove he was worthy. Why is this on the list of praiseworthy things?
reply

when miranda hid under the bed with her cat she became the best character to me. her and her cat are so cute
reply

Walking behind Charlotte, was so touching.
It's the kind of thing that makes you want to be a better friend.

reply

Her and Steve we're never endgame. She dumped him for a chick, and asked for a divorce. Shitty writing.
reply

Watching this after seeing the reboot, and wow. I miss this Miranda so much. The current one is awful.
