And now, with the release of Encanto, I can say I would easily add Mirabel's response to her grandma at the movie's climax on this list. It's not always when we see a character stand up to one of their own loved family members, but when Mirabel knows that the whole family's miracle is crashing because of Abuela Alma's expectation of the younger members of the family, Mirabel lets herself be heard even if the truth hurts. I think it's an incredibly powerful scene, especially to those who conforonted a similar situation where someone of the family assumed a conservative yet unhealthy position. It's inspirational and helps family of all kinds to realise that everyone is human and can make mistakes no matter how much they lived or how much they presumably know more.

Shouldn't it be Top 10 Disney Heroine Monologues? I love the speeches yes, but some characters aren't even princesses? Just a heads up, not trying to nit pick anything, it just infuriated me that basically all the comments think that all female characters are princesses. Meg, I don't even know what she is? Anyway there are heroines, and princesses. If you look at history, not all princesses are good, but not all are bad. Take Mary Queen of Scots, and then take Queen Elizabeth the first, completely different types of princesses that turned into either feared or respected rulers. Oh boy, I just realized how long this comment is going. All because, princess should be heroine. However, I like who you chose, good choices.

Pocahontas shouldve been in top 3. Considering she not only saved John Smith from execution, she literally prevented a damn war from breaking out. And Im kinda surprised her father wasnt shocked when she declared her love or Smith wasnt trying to tell her its ok or leave before she got hurt. She literally managed to open the eyes of almost everyone there. Also Kiaras Daddy this has got to stop. A wise king once told me we are one, I didnt understand him then. Look at them they are us, what differences do you see?

Jasmine is so powerful. Everyone had always been against her and had never listened to her once. She proved to the world that she is the best sultan for her kingdom. Her speech after the song speechless means so much. She is not anymore a little girl, she's a fearless ruler.
I m so inspired by her figure

These are all great monologues from Disney Princesses but they forgot about Nala's monologue when she tries to convince Simba to come back to Pride Rock to challenge his uncle and one of my personal favorites when Simba's daughter Kiara convinces him to stop fighting with the outsiders.

Man, the Beast is complaining about Maurice trespassing as if he has no choice but to imprison Maurice when he could've thrown him out to the wolves. When Maurice says he just needs a place to stay, the Beast decides to irrevocably imprison him until Belle takes Maurice's place.

First people think Mulan is a princess, but now Esmeralda? She's just a gypsy. Besides, what makes you think that the town would try to cut off a princess's head? In the book, they killed her after the boyfriend died for the fact that she's nothing but a gypsy.

I think Moanas new version of her mantra after her Grandma visits her is so much better than the original. I am Moana of Motunui. Aboard my boat, I will sail across the sea, and restore the heart of Te Fiti. Instead of saying Maui, it changes to mean Moana herself.

I would've included Kiara's speech, at least as an honorable mention:
Kiara: A wise king once told me, We are one. I didn't understand him then. Now, I do.
Simba: But, they
Kiara: Them? Us? Look at them. They are us. What differences do you see?

The Hunchback of Notre Dame was my favorite as a kid then, They should make a live action even thou there is 1 from the 40's. If they do, Esmeralda should b played by an Indian actress as I always thought since I was 7 that she looks like an Indian woman.

Disney's Pocahontas is extremely loosely based on the real Pocahontas' story. Disney, sadly, wouldn't dare mention that she became a Christian and changed her name to Rebekah. Also, Belle Takes Her Father's Place should've been no. 1, just saying.

I'd have put Jasmine's monologue MUCH higher, like top 5. Pocahontas and Esmeralda deserved to be in the top 5 too. Pocahontas' monologue is especially relevant today with the racial tensions in the US being so high and hatred on every end.

Pocahontas's speech was moving. This is the path I choose father! What will yours be? Although I
loved them all. I do wish Princess Eilonwy's monlouge was on here. She stood up to the male lead before Belle and Jasmine. Very cool

I'm totally happy about the list in general, and especially that you've included Meg! However, why not choose Meg's (much more impressive) confrontation with Hades after she realized that she has fallen in love with Herc?

Esmeralda shoulda been higher in my opinion, but I'm happy that Brave and Merida got some love. I often seen people bashing Brave, but Merida is my favourite princess and I'll gladly support her number one spot

how did you not put the princess willing to lay her life down to save others? On top of that she opened John's eyes to the sanctity of mother earth. Top tier princess

Esmeralda should be on the top three, but honestly, everytime Pocahontas says something, it's powerful and inspiring. All her movie is an inspiration. She should definitly be on the top three too!

Did you seriously just bring up Moana's best lines and then pointedly reject them?
I am Moana of Motonui. Aboard my boat, I will sail across the sea, and restore the heart of Te Fiti.

Pocahontas and Kida should be higher on the list, they actually saved lives. I also think Jasmine in the Aladdin remake is terrible, her monologue didnt work.

If I may add, Pocahontas' point is proven the moment John steps in to defend Chief Powhatan from Radcliffe, and the other settlers turn against Radcliffe.
