I disagree a lot with this list. LOL! 1st of all, how is the scene from 2x22 where Dean is talking to Sam, dead on the bed, not here at all! Like, not even an honorable mention? Or the moment in 2x21 when Dean is cradling a dead Sam in his arms! Like, what?
The Cas scene from S12 could have been gone, or at least just an honorable mention. I thought his actual death later in the season was sadder. Jo and Ellen's death should have been higher than John's. And that's not a knock against John, because his death was sad, obviously. But theirs was sadder, imo.
But the thing the list got most wrong, imo, was ranking Dean's hell confession as less sad than his confession to Mary. Just no. Lol! Both moments are sad, for sure, but the hell confession was SO horribly sad.
If I had my say the final 3 would be: Dean talking to Sam on the bed in 2x22, Bobby's Death, and Dean's Hell confession. For me, there is no moment that is more heart-rending than that one! It kills me every time, and Jensen's acting is SUPERB!
Just my two cents worth!

These were definitely very sad SPN moments, but I think they left out a lot of Sam's moments. I have a feeling whoever put this together definitely preferred Dean over Sam. What about Sammy? What about when he had to kill Madison, as just one example? That was way worse than many of these. And the tortures that he had to go through due to Ruby's betrayal and then nearly killing Dean after being possessed by Lucifer? And then being soulless--and when the soul is returned to find out what he had actually done? And having to try to save Dean when he was killed by Metatron? And saving Dean who had turned into a demon? So many options. definitely feel this was a Dean fan-based post. I think we should request a Sam-based video, even tho I know it will make me cry buckets.

I'd have to say number 2 saddest moment was the final season and Castiel sacrificed himself so dean could live and so the darkness could come to earth and kill billy while taking Castiel at the same time.
And number 1 would be when dean died by being pinned to the nail sticking out of the wooden wall inside the farm house while him and Sam was fighting vampires and dean gave his speech to Sam asking Sam to tell dean to tell him its OK that he can go. Now that's a tear jerker.

He turned from villain to anti-hero who died to save the people he once tried to kill. And what about Rowena's death? That was heartbreaking? Maybe this list should be updated.

Theirs a million I could list but one I just thought about that just stood out to me was Rowenas Death by Sam. It was so sad because he didnt want to kill her but she was asking him to in order to save the world and they had a special relationship I think Rowena probably considered Sam a son as they just had that type of relationship in a way so that really just made it extra hard for Sam to do this and I think thats what really makes it such a sad scene

Kevin's death will always be number 1 for me.
After Kevin outsmarted Crowley and survived him so many times, I was starting to think he's gonna make it to the end of the show alive.
Then I let my guard down for one second and he's gone. I felt like I was Dean on that moment, it's really hard to describe how hard I felt that moment.

Some saddest moments I think also are when Sam sacrificed himself and went to Hell to lock Lucifer back in his cage and Sam having to kill his girlfriend who was a Werewolf or Charlie saying good bye to her mother who was in a coma was also sad.

Boobys death was the most heartbreaking thing this show ever did. Bobby was the best character and he was the last family the Winchesters had left. And his final words being Idjits but this time as a term of endearment was so touching and yet so painful

The one that made me to cry the most was in Swan's Song at the end of season 5 when Sam remembers who he is and finally overcomes Lucifer, that whole screen had me crying like a baby.
