i agree mostly with the shows great fun too watch, thanks for the heads up too season 3
, Sam is a fine study of sleaze and brutal production, Alison's character is wonderful with the enthusiastic ideas, the wrestling you see in rehearsal and in the show and thats what made it work youre watching a entertaining: bread and circus. and the ensemble of characters are all well portrayed by the team of fine actors, a lovely written show with a proper story line of struggle, personal involvements, even the cherry subplot where she is a cop was handled perfectly, Sam steps up to the plate, cherry regains her respect and the husband is a pillar, . best tee vee in the whole year, and i now want too fling me self into the ropes,

As a fan of the original GLOW, I love seeing the nods back to source material. Season 2 gave us the campy sketches & ended with the move to Las Vegas (even this season, they mentioned the Riviera - home of original GLOW - in a throwaway line. Season 3's ending is almost set to link to the POWW offshoot (a ton of the same wrestlers with identical gimmicks, just a different name - like how they mention the TV station owns the rights to the current characters. I just wish they would have cameos by some of the original GLOW girls - absolutely no reason to not have Hollywood or Tina Ferrari (who became a WWE Hall of Famer as Ivory) make an appearance.

For me, the kicker on the me-too moment was the other characters' reactions to it. Ruth tells Debbie first, and then, more reluctantly, Sam. Debbie blames Ruth, saying this is an industry standard and she should have known better than to walk out. Sam puts a golf club through Tom's windscreen.
It's a nice insight into the characters, but it also speaks to another point: Sam has to be the one to take revenge because he won't damage his reputation by doing so and has nothing to lose anyway. Ruth and Debbie couldn't get away with doing that even if they wanted to (as Ruth at least surely does) because that would be the end of their careers.

It always rubbed me the wrong way how mel started to speak about her past family issues when jenny was upset and reliving the days she had to escape from genocide. Jenny was upset because of the racist antics of mel, and mel turned it into a discussion about herself. State what you did wrong and apologise and let jenny have her moment and be angry. Im glad mel realised how much she hurt jenny and changed though.

The most epic moment in all of GLOW is Debbies first time watching a match and hearing about the drama. When the lightbulb goes off and she shouts, Its a soap opera! I can do this! THAT is the best moment in the whole show!

Seeing Alison Brie acting as Ruth Wilder acting as Zoya the Destroya while reacting to the Challenger tragedy was the best moment for me as Ruths reaction felt so real. Alison really brings her character to life.

Im still not over Netflix canceling this. Not only do we deserve at least a wrap-up movie or a few episodes, the cast and crew deserve a proper goodbye for their dedicated work to this masterpiece.

Didn't mention Barbara Streisand, I couldn't stop laughing when she was on screen. Also, the episode where they switched characters and Sam Sylvia being like 'shit, feels like I'm on acid' hahaha.

Love the writing and style of this show. Its so real and authentic especially considering that all the actors learned wrestling moves and did most of the stunts. Crossing my fingers for a season 4!

Netflix axing this show was without a doubt one of the dumbest things theyve done. I do not feel bad for their current demise as they constantly fail to recognise the streaming gold they have.

Awesome Kong aka kharma's personality in this show was in different, we always see her as this strong and scary type wrestler in wwe, tna and aew.
Kia needs to be on the next season.

Am I too late? My #1 moment was when Sam accompanied Ruth to her abortion and pretended to be her husband so the stigma of the time wouldn't be cast upon her.

4: 00 that scene hit me so hard that is where i paused it, turned around and just slept with my eyes open. I was not able to watch the rest of the series after that.

I really do hope Netflix produces a new season of Glow! Such a brilliant cast, great script, fantastic plot and an awesome homage to the 80s.

Move over, Stranger Things ( But not TOO far, because I still adore you, GLOW is another fantastic 80's set show that deserves so much love!

Debbie goes to her first wrestling match and realizes that pro wrestling is a soap opera in Debbie Does Something was a pretty good moment.

Carmen is the sweetest, strongest character of the entire ensemble. I hope she comes back for season 4, she will be missed otherwise!

My personal #1 GLOW moment wasn't even on here. The Ruth-Debbie scream off in the hospital during season 2, now that was something!

I loved the original GLOW, this show hits all the nostalgia, but it easily surpasses with production values, and effort by the cast

Why wasn't the bus scene where they are leaving for vegas with the song 'Nothing Gonna Stop us Now' from Starship not in it?
reply

Miss this show. My fav moment is the surprise win for Ruth at the end of the wedding finale in season 2. Very touching scene.

NO SWITCH FIGHT?
NO SHEILA REINVENTING HERSELF?
And you put Sam hearth attack for some reason?
Absolutly pointless.

Fans, we need to start a campaign for a movie to wrap up this glorious underrated show. If Sense8 can, GLOW deserves it, too.
