Some of these were somewhat known in the US, just not as big as Backstreet Boys or Nsync (which are both awful imo. A lot of them I've just heard of but I remember Five being pretty known at least the elementary school where I went. I remember loving When the Lights Go Out as an innocent kid then really paying attention to those lyrics years later.
My dad was stationed in England 1999-2002 and I was really into Westlife over there (still my fave boy band) but come to think of it never really here anyone talk about them back here in the states.

Ok I hATE to be that person but: maybe rename the video as bands that never made it in the US, because SHINee, super junior and take that have quite a fan base in Latin America, so. and it's not only me being a fan of said bands but. true. But I know some take that fans from the US that would painfully agree with TT being number one.

While I know deep down its true. I can't help wanting to yell 'No! SHINEE & Super junior are legends' at my tv. Course then I remember that I've been a kpop fan for around 12yrs & kpop has only blown up here in the US over the last 2yrs. Its a shame people slept on Kpop for so long cuz they missed out on alot of talent

Five was one of my favorite boy bands, still listening to Westlife, and Kpop is way better than any boy band in America. There are hundreds of boy bands in South Korea. SHINee will always be in my top ten. And by now everyone knows who BTS is.

Its still hard for me to listen to SHINee without crying. Jonghyun was the embodiment of pure talent and a good soul. Maybe one day the Eastern hemisphere will get it together and take mental health more seriously so nothing like this happened again.

The only reason why SHINee havent made it in America YET is because theyre under a company! They might be able to have a say in where they want to promote but I guarantee that SM is just not making any effort to do so. Ive done my job.

SHINee was one of the first K-Pop groups I ever listened to. Im excited for Taemin in SuperM and I love his solo work. Jonghyun will always have a place in my heart. I seriously only clicked on this video because of SHINee.

Boyzone and Westlife were really huge in Asia during the active years. Five, Blue and Take That tho not as popular as the previous two they also released songs that really got popular in Asian countries.
