To all Broadway producers watching, these are the fictional movie and TV musicals we wish existed. Well be going over the fictional musicals from movies and TV shows that we think would be great to see on stage for a long run in real life. These musicals need to leap from screen to stage. MsMojo ranks the best fictional movie and TV musicals we wish existed. Which fictional musical do you wish was real?

Honestly, if they turned Smash itself into a musical, basically a musical about making a musical about Marilyn Monroe, would make more sense and I can see it lasting longer than Bombshell itself, only because as much as I love the show, I don't know how much the pull of the idea of a Monroe musical would have on its own. However, a musical about making a musical about her would work.
Also, I think Wet Side Story, from the Teen Beach Movie series, while a movie musical within a movie musical, I want to see what other for sure original songs the movie had without Mac and Brady disrupting the story (or one just based on the movie)

Really disappointed to see no mention of Eugene, Eugene! from Hey Arnold! (Eugene, Eugene, When Life Gives You Lemons, Dance, Keep Your Sunny Side Up)
There were actually a lot of really good songs in that musical and the message is simple and just works (it doesn't matter if life sometimes feels like it has it out for you, if you're positive and look for the good in things, ultimately you will find all you need to be happy, and maybe in the end life will throw you a bone too.

The musical addressed in Zack & Cody, when they have to partecipate in the musical of their school high school musival and the one who did Troy sang a song about. theet at the audition than was from a musical wrote by the music teacher of the school for Broadway and never put on stage

Not sure if Death becomes her would work on stage, considering the climax. No spoilers, but if you've seen it, you'll know what I'm talking about. But I think Bombshell would work more than Evil Dead: The Musical. I think stage is dead and dumb plays like Evil Dead is burying it.

I CANNOT BELIEVE that the Hamlet bit from Gilligan's Island was nowhere to be found on any of this list. this was a classic episode from a classic series which also featured Phil Silvers and his comedic BILKO genius. unbelievable and an insult.

This wasnt on the list but Id see The Best Day Ever from Spongebob. He was trying to have the best day ever but everything turned to doo doo so they made a play about everything he wanted to do that day and Spongebob sings The Best Day Ever.

What about the Batman musical from Batman Beyond, That was awesomely hilarious. I wonder who would be a great composer to fill in for the late Shirley Walker. That or the original concept by Meat Loaf, yes that Meat Loaf.

I kinda wanted to see Supernatural: The Musical! On this list or maybe the South Park movie (as in, Id wanna see it as maybe a college production musical, not on broadway or something)

Rural Juror and the sequel the Urban Furor should both exist. I hope Work Hard Or Die Trying Girl from Bob's Burgers is on the list. Edit: Topsy made it to the honorable mentions!

Was hoping for Elephant Man the musical from Jeff Goldblums the tall guy. With songs like Mr Diagusting and Im packing my troubles in a trunk.

I would love to Mike's play in real life it's honestly one of the best Pixar quotes other than Just Keep Swimming and You Are A Toy!
