Some of my faves:
Crony (when caught) denying that he is indeed a member of The Sewing Club
Sweeney's psychotic evil villain laugh
Someone crawling through the air vents in the ceiling like a spy movie scene
Coconut Head experiencing sudden trauma or violence
Scoop, the school paper's photographer/reporter telling someone The camera loves ya! (why did he vanish suddenly? He was funny)
Evelyn Kwong shouting something in a rage at Cookie
Gordy getting injured, burned, soaked, trampled, thrown, exploded, etc etc etc.
Cookie having amazing self confidence
The lunch lady reading students' beans or corn
The curvy Crew girls gang drooling over Ned
The show was so funny, and luckily had no laugh track added in post production. I do wish it had been more consistent over its three seasons; the disappearance of Mr. Monroe during season 2 was odd, Crubbs was a poor choice for the authority figure (just not funny to me, and some really cool characters were dropped for either long stretches or permanently. I mean, what happened to Psycho, the big lumbering scary dude?
But overall NDSSG is hilarious, a live action cartoon packed with slapstick and fun.

Gordy vs the Weasel was the best running gag, but one I love and wasnt mentioned was Cookie being run over. Idk why, but that never failed to make me laugh.
For those of you unaware of that gag, it was there was a huge crowd of people going places and cookie would be in the way. They run into him and after we see the crowd vanish thered be a cardboard cut out of him on the ground looking flat as a pancake. By far one of the funniest gags!

I wonder who will be the best candidate to catch the weasel aside from Gordy?
Choose among these characters:
Cosmo (The Fairly Odd Parents)
Jorgen Von Strangle (The Fairly Odd Parents)
Timmy's Dad (The Fairly Odd Parents)
Ralph Runner (Loonatics Unleashed)
The Chameleon (T. U. F. F Puppy)
Count Spankulot (Codename KND)

Another running gag was any time they mentioned exotic trips or the jungle they would play a little choral musical riff. Like when principal pal was going to go roller skating across Africa or with the wild boy painting.

You should have made it at least an honorable the cookies face when things go wrong the cookie face is the reason why cookie is my favorite character well one of the reasons
And cowboy cookie yippie yippie yi haw

Love all of these funny moments now and even then in the show. Still have the Cookie's theme song, sometimes in head whenever I see a cookie. Or whenever I see clips of the character online.

7: 36 This little comment proves to be especially interesting now after hearing from the Ned's Podcast that apparently there were in-fact TWO different actors that played Toot-Toot.
reply

1: 42 I can relate to Gordy. I don't avoid work; I avoid MY boss. She is intimidating. No wonder she has so much time to go to work and stay after. Imagine how much I hide like Gordy
reply

My favourite gag, not just in Ned's but actually in any sitcom, is Cooke asking Gordy Do you think Lisa Zemo's hot? and Gordy replying I can't answer that because I'm forty.
reply

To me one of the gags on the show is when they aggrivate other students and teachers with there schemes until they go nuts and chase them through the halls or get detention
reply

Correct me if im wrong. Is one of the bees/wasps (i forget the groups name) is one of them. A young Booboo Stewart/Seth Clearwater/Jay son of Jafar?
reply

i love how style wise, its like a live action johnny testwith the exaggerated movements, and everytime theres a whiplash or some other sound effect
reply

Man they don't do this kind of style in sitcoms anymore like sound effects and short music. I kind of liked it. At least it has its nostalgia.

Anyone else miss Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide? This show has the BEST running gags. Let us know your favorites below!

I remember this was like the only live action show I liked on Nick at the time. It was the only one that made me laugh. Classic.
reply

Daran Norris as Gordy was so well-received that Scott Fellows hired him back as Buddha Bob the janitor for Big Time Rush.
reply

Martins actors went on to be in the video game horror movie Stay alive where you die the same way you die in the game.
reply

When I saw the show, I'd always known that Ned and Moze had a thing. I really miss those days of good Nickelodeon shows.
reply

I always thought Gordys phrase Ill let the night guy get it was a gag for him being both day time and night time staff.
reply

Claire sawyer can get a guilty criminal found innocent she almost did it with lisa but she has a conscious smh
reply

My favourite gag was how Coconut Head was apparently so vulnerable that a pat on the back would get him in bandages xD
reply

8: 38 the face of the guy on the right killed me. What did he expect when he put his empty hand out grabbing nothing.
reply

Dont forget the gag where someone gets trampled by a crowd and turns into an obvious cardboard cutout of themself.
reply

I haven't watched this show since I was a kid and this brought back some great memories.
Thank you.

reply

You didnt include the super popular dude who we never actually saw. Always passed by surrounded ny people.
reply

I was hoping the cardboard cutouts of themselves they leave so they can go do something was a funny gag
reply

When I watched this show, they looked like 30-somethings playing kids. now they all just look like babies
