Top 10 Best Teen Movie Endings

Top 10 Best Teen Movie Endings Not the most popular opinion, but I disliked the end of Love, Simon. I ADORE the books ending, which is quite different and extremely quiet and cute. In the movie though, Simon asks Blue to publicly out himself for Simons sake, at the end of a movie that really gets into how outing is bad, and people should be allowed to come out on their own terms only. In the book they also chat and go on a date before ever kissing, and so the kiss isnt a big moment for their fangirls, its a moment between the two of them when they are comfortable and alone. The kiss being for the screaming audience felt like it was sort of leaning into the fetishization and infantilization of gay relationships by straight women, when it should have been a moment that let us be happy for how far Simon and Blue have come as characters.\r\n

I'd say Dead Poet's Society can be considered a teen movie in ways and should be here. It happens to be my favorite movie but Todd's character development in the end was perfect. O Captain My Captain is one of the most touching scenes ever. That would be my top and with the characters being in HS it counts even though it's far from a typical teen movie. What A Girl Wants could be here too. I'm glad The Breakfast Club gets #1. Epic ending.

cruel intentions is one of my favourite movies ever because it's so out there, but I actually don't love the ending for that movie. I think Sebastian dying is just too easy for the film. I either would've prefered he lived and he then had to deal with how awful he used to be and how has changed now, or even faked his death and then gone off with Annette thus he gets away from his awful family. Just found the end brought down the movie

Love, Simon was as cheesy and entertaining as all the other teen rom coms that have been made. It was a message to the world that gay teens are as romantic and loveable as straight teens. It also proved that gay stories are as marketable as straight stories.

I love 'Love, Simon' have watched it quite a few times.
Still get misty eyed watching a scene with Simon and his mother about him being gay.
Was almost verbatim what my own mother said to me when I came out. after she stopped crying.

About Love, Simon. Yeah things turned out great for Simon in the end but I was mad when his friends deserted him when he needed them the most. That Martin kid was so cruel to Simon, plus Simon didn't even want to put his friends through that stuff

Umm Love, Simon had a horrible ending. The whole hey, we ostracized him once he was outed, but let's all stand around and clap for him now that he's about to have his first kiss thing was so corny. The book ending was way better.

Is it me or Easy A and Breakfast Club are right after each other and they both have Dont You Forget About Me in them. they evither did not mean that or did it on perpose. Anyways Breakfast Club is one of the best movies ever

Disappointed by the lack of Heathers - the shot of Veronica covered in soot after JD kills himself and her then telling Heather Duke that there's a new sheriff in town is absolutely forking iconic: D

A Walk To Remember is the only film on this list I know, and with an ending that is one of my favorites. Mandy Moore's songs still stick to me to this day, and that's an achievement for me.

how can you have high school musical as an honorable mention, ten things i hate about you, cruel intentions but NOTHING about the masterpiece ending that is a cinderella story?

Everyone who has seen Dangerous Liaisons knew exactly how Cruel Intentions was going to end. Its the same movie. Dangerous Liaisons is just well better.

Love Simon ending was boring, thr original one is better. Not gonna lie I actually liked American Pie's ending and what about Dead Poets Society?
