I love once upon a time! Started watching it and fell in love with the show. I agree that the laws of magic are a little confusing. And there are a number of potholes. My only arguments is number four; What happened to the characters who didn't make it to Storybrooke? How did they not travel to Storybrooke, and how did they escape the curse? It was explained in a flashback in season 2 episode 9, the queen of hearts, Cora cast a protective Dome over a wide 10 square mile area. It prevented anyone inside the Dome from going to Storybrooke but they were still frozen in time for 28 years.
And then there's number 10. What are the characters ages. Who really knows how old Merlin is or Rumpelstiltskin is or Niel is, the question was how come no one in Storybrooke realized that only one kid was aging? I'm a fiction writer, and basically what I analyzed from the show is that during the curse, and before Emma showed up and started weakening the curse everyday in Storybrooke was essentially a Time Loop. The effects of the curse is that no one really thought about the future or the past. I don't think anyone realized that it had been 28 years until the curse was broken.

I think Season 7 was meant to be a new book, because as we learned at the end of Season 6, the story for the book was over. However the way they did Season 7 was just awful. I mean we didn't know they were in the past until 7x20. Really? Not to mention there was no continuation from Season 6. If Regina, Hook, and Rumple weren't in the season, you'd never have thought it was part of the show. Plus with them changing actors for characters or retelling already told stories, it was just such a pointless story. Not to mention, you're telling me that the 'Truest Believer' someone who in almost every curse always had his memories, just forgot this time? Yeah right. That alone made the season annoying to deal with. Had they been in Storybrooke again, or retold other stories, or used a different concept, it would have worked. It was sad because man after Regina became the good queen with all of the realms connected, another season would have been cool, but because so many people lost interest in the show, they had to end it.

I have several those these are to do with do of my favourite character.
How did Ariel loose her necklace, we know she found a necklace that gave her back her vioce and legs this allowed her to go to Agrabah, but then when she is summoned to neverland she no longer has it.
Also what Happened to Jefferson and Paige I know they both were reunited, but after that its like they never existed, they were never mentioned again, I understand that Sebastian had been cast for captain America by this time, but they were never mentioned not once, did they somehow go back to the enchanted forest after Pans curse and just never return, also how did Jefferson become trapped in storybrooke if he was a prisoner In wonderland.
Also what happens to Abigail, we never really know, did she reunite with her true love who was the gym teacher? I know she might not of been a main character but she still was David Nolans fake wife and they parted on good terms, it would of been nice to see if she got her happy ending.

Okay the people that were spared from the dark curse and were not among those sent to Storybrook is because Cora put like a protection orb or whatever around a certain area of the enchanted forest as each season went by my imagination of how much was protected just got bigger so yeah Cora did it.
As for Ressurection when Rumple was brought back it was cause of dark magic and caused Neal to lose his life, as for Hook coming back Zeus brought him back you know an actual god so yeas sometimes they lay down rules for magic but those are for regular all be it powerful magic users weather they use dark or light magic their are only certain people that can break the laws of magic, and yes Zelena cast a spell to use time travel but it took the entirety of the 2nd part of season 3 and all that time they spent back in the enchanted forest after Regina broke the curse.

Emmas superpower was so weird. It worked and then didnt. Identifying the physical signs of lying isnt too hard but there were so many times people told her the truth and she thought it was fake. Henry nearly died showing her that everything he was saying about Storybrooke in S1 was true and she didnt believe; if Henry was lying to her about fairytales being real, wouldnt she have been able to tell with her superpower? She thinks she can sniff out lies, but has no superpower flareup when Henry is telling her something that big.
And she wad with Walsh for months, didnt once clock he was lying about who he was, let alone lying that he was human when he wasnt. She thought Hook was lying in New York when he wasnt

Regina leaves Storybrooke so she can adopt Henry (as a baby) from an adoption ward in Massachusetts. This was a problem for anyone leaving Storybrooke, who was born from the Enchanted Forest and transferred over as a result of the Curse. When Henry is either 10 or 11 years-old, Mr. Gold (aka Rumplestiltskin) finally has a breakthrough magical enchanted item enabling him to not lose his memories when leaving Storybrooke (so he can find his son, Neal. Mr. Gold must travel to Manhattan to find Neal. Mr. Gold initially tested his magical potion on one of Hook's pirates to see if he could crossover the town-line w/o losing his memories.

We know Emma is 28 at the start, and Henry ends at about age 14 by end of season 6 (i think) after seeking her out at 11 or so.
Hook never has an official age, but he claims to be about 200 years old by the time the second curse is broken, but while the show only refers to his age in hyperbole, he is apparently very old.
I'm not even going to attempt any others.

This included Mulans village, Auroura naf Philips kingdom, Camelot, Meridas village and some smaller kingdoms. Arendelle was not protected but everyone stayed there because at the time they were all frozen and the curse assumed them dead

The thing about the cursed characters making money and getting things from the outside is that they dont. we don't know exactly how it works but its magic, some way or somehow it replenishes itself - its like saying how do none of the characters question why they don't remeber their whole livesl, its the curse, the curse is storybrooke so therefore the curse sustains it

To number 4, there was this one episode, I unfortunately don't know which, where cora and hook stood on the edge of a cliff and cora made something like a protection wall where the curse couldn't break through. I don't know anymore how she managed it, but I think that was the answer why not every enchanted forest hapitant landed in Storybrooke

Most of these were either explained in the show, or just complicated and confusing but still made sense (like the timelines.
The biggest plot hole to me was all the portals and magic beans. Rumple had suppedly been looking for one for decades, and then throughout the show there were more and more. By season 7 it was just funny

Mary Margaret (Snow White) didn't remember how long she had been a teacher because she didn't remember anything BEFORE the curse, all she knows is that she's been a teacher as far back as she can remember. Which is exactly what she told Regina. Where's the inconsistency there?

For #4 Regina said she could choose who could come and who could stay (somewhere in s2 I think) and Cora had put a magic shield around them, and for the question about the evil queen didnt the show imply that Regina had raped him? Thats extremely evil

The only explanation for number 4 is that Cora shielded a part of the Enchanted Forest from the curse. Other lands within it probably had rulers who can perform magic and had cast a similar spell over their vices to protect them from the Curse.

Answer: Issac probably had it, as he was the writer at the time Snow White lived and they met him. And maybe the wizard made the book appear or it could simply be the curse who tried to help.

It was explained that Cora had put up a protection barrier at the time Regina casted the curse. The protection barrier only cover a small part of the enchanted forest - therefore, the reason why some characters did not go to storybrook.

Some of these are right and some wrong. Gotta pay attention to the show. Also why would fans want to call it quits after season 6? That season sucked and had a terrible ending. Would have been anticlimactic as hell. 7 was WAY better.

Ok no they werent out of town lol, later on in the season it show Cora and hook put up a force filled frizzing the people in that area. So they didnt age and it was like no time passed for them cus they were frozen

You missed the biggest plot hole the end scene in season 6 where a new curse rolls in and they never explain it or have the characters deal with it they just skip ahead to Henry's daughter coming to find him.

You never payed attention as for Mulan there was some lost episodes that never got filmed and Mulan was apart of that and there also the comics that are tie in and sounds of it you never looked into it.

For #4, Cora put up a protection spell that shielded that island from the curse. They all went to sleep for 28 years before waking up after the curse broke when Emma kissed Henry.

For #4 the answer was that Cora shielded that part of the land to protect herself and Hook from falling into the curse, and everyone within Cora's shield was protected from the curse as well.
