Another Top 10 Americas Next Top Model Makeover Meltdowns With incredibly realistic lace-front wigs and endless hair extension products on the market today, why the hell do they have to go to such drastic measures anyway? Watch one episode of RuPauls Drag Race and be astounded at how the contestants on that show are able to transform themselves each week. And dont give me that tired it demonstrates their dedication to their craft bull$#! +, either. Theres absolutely no need and no excuse to put another model through a makeover they cant bring themselves to look at without wanting to cut their wrists anymore.
And dont even get me started on how awful it must be for those stylists who somehow manage to finish a 3-hour installation sewing tracks onto a bawling model, knowing theres no hope of the woman in their chair appreciating their hard, grueling work.\r\n

This has always bothered me so I just have to say my piece. I always thought it was SUPER offensive that when Eva (S 3) heard she was getting a super short cut, whined and cried like other girls but then said she was upset because she would look like a little white boy
It was offensive since she was clearly saying little white boy as a slur since there was nothing in length that differentiated btwn black or white. Saying she'd look like a boy PERIOD would've been just as effective.
The fact that it was never addressed but just totally glossed over like it wasn't a big deal was even worse. Imagine if Cassandra or Katie said I don't want to look like a little black boy? You know damn well it would have been a HUGE thing and they would've been just roasted but Eva says it and meh nbd. So annoying.

How is Jeana having a meltdown. The girl suffers from alopecia. She was treated horribly growing up and the makeover brought all of that forward.
She handled it very well, she didn't fight it or throw a fit.
She inspired 2 of the judges, Law shaved his head. And the white guy has vitiligo on his face and he hid that with makeup. But, showed up to panel bare faced.
So, she doesn't deserve to be on the list as a meltdown.

It just sucks that she chops all the lustrous long hair to a pixie then the girls get eliminated (because they're not happy, so I guess there's no effort put in their work. The hair dye, my gosh, keep it simple. If someone is already a natural red head, with some blondish copper highlights, let it be. You don't really see red heads as much as you see blondes. Again, just my opinion.

I don't like any of the changes. they ruin their natural beauty. It is like what they really want to do is make copies of others and that way there is not variaty and competitors. I liked them better before the make over. Use a wig if you want a different hair style but don't cut their hairs. come on! Eva and Brenda looked older after the make over. No way!

I think he worst part is that there was no maitenance done to the makeovers. Some were really extreme and tough on the hair fibres and without proper care they went brittle and dry. You can see as the seasons are approaching the end how damaged some of the girls hair looks, and how the roots have grown and are showing
reply

I dont get it at all, all the runway show, commercial shoot, catalog shoot, magazine shoot, they all do their own makeup, haircuts, styles. The model only show their faces and bodies. Did you ever see vogue cut a models hair short? Even if thats what they want, a wig can fix everything. This is all for tv drama.
reply

And this (among other reasons) is why I REFUSE to watch the actual show, and just watch it through reaction clips, vids like these, and other means. This show is so gross on every single which way. They use this stuff for shock value, and it is so sad and disgusting.
reply

I would rather do my own makeover then let Tyra give me a makeover cause she has no idea how to please a model I would definitely raise hell if they were to ever cut my hair or give me some overly eccentric hairstyle that I personally would not be caught dead wearing
reply

They should photoshop the hair Style onto the girl's picture before going through with the change because even though hair grows back and can be dyed back it takes a really long time and lots of money and treatments to do so
reply

They need to stop doing weaves on white women. Black hair is coarse and thick and meant for weaves whereas white hair is fine and it will hurt and cause way more breakage than it does for black women. The way AMNTM doesn't know that
reply

I dont think Jeana should be on this list at ALL. That was not a meltdown that compared to the others on this list, and it was a heavy and inspiring moment on the show, rather than some girl crying over a dye job or a cut.
reply

This is all just really close to assault. Young women who are coerced into letting men (they were all men) chop, frizz and over process. After which, they say it's beautiful. get over it. These women already look great.
reply

Melrose was pathetic. Her brown hair was dull and her makeover was pretty great. For God's sake, that indian girl had to go through a REAL pain while her hairline was fixed and Melrose made a whole drama about new color
reply

You all know what is related to cutting off people from the normal world, shave women's heads and take their belongings. Humiliate them. Yell at them. never participate in systematic destruction of the individual.
reply

I hate that the thumbnail is of a girl with a condition where she has no hair, and she was crying because of her vulnerabilities. I understand click bait but that instance seems really inappropriate to me.
reply

Elinas makeover was ridiculous. That hair and color were just not the right for her. Same thing with Brittanys.
I am surprised you didnt feature cycle 16 Mollys makeover. Now that was a trainwreck

reply

Tyra and those people ANTM are the people I wouldnt allow to touch my hair. And the nerve for them to call those girls who had a meltdown hard to work with when their makeovers are mostly shitty.
reply

Tyra is just playing with these girls during make over episodes. common she can't force the girls if they dont want that hairstyle but they have no choice which to follow what tyras want.
reply

Karis look was extremely shocking and made her look like a vogue Italian model tbh but it was too blonde needed a little more colour and less bleach it looked like her hair was fried
reply

Sorry but Kari should have been #1. That was HANDS DOWN the worst makeover EVER!
Tyra took a beautiful girl and made her into an almost alien creature. She RUINED that girl!

reply

I tried long hair
I tried shoulder leveled bob cut
I tried boyish hair after 2 years of having a colored hair and I love to have a long hair and won't ever cut it. Like ever.

reply

The Jays said during most of the makeovers Tyra would leave and the both jays would have to deal with girls (and sometimes boys) crying and complaining about the whole situation.
reply

I get that they are models and are mostly hired based on looks, but why given them styles and colours that really dont work on them? Would that be a hindrance or am I wrong?
reply

I don't care if it's for a TV show, no one should be forced to do something they don't want to do or be forced to change the way they look if they don't want to
reply

As a natural redhead, I am upset that they make these red weaves look awful on these girls. They look so cheap! I would be terrified to get a makeover on this show.
reply

It is their bodies. They are basically telling them You are not beautiful. They also did not give them help, products, or tell them how to take care of there hair.
reply

Ironically, Tyra always wore and still wears long weaves, why do the other girls have to shave their heads or do these shocking haircuts? Tyra is cruel.
reply

Honestly so many girls just dont look unique the a pixie cut like it makes them just look like every other girl on the show who got a pixie cut
reply

So off the mark. Elina looked incredible with the red hair. Other styles work with her but that hair was on point and she stood out in a great way.
