There's an episode of Sesame Street from the early 1980s featuring Margaret Hamilton, who played the Wicked Witch in The Wizard Of Oz. She played a witch who was going to make Big Bird disappear, I think. Several parents wrote in, complaining how upset their kids were. Sesame Street shelved the episode, and it's never been seen since.
