I read a Dear America/Royal diaries book on Isabelle and I do love the story, but should we really see Columbus as a good thing because he was a liar and did nothing to discover America and killed many Native Americans(Thank you government for getting rid of a holiday that celebrates someone that did terrible things and is a liar and breaking a glass ceiling) Do a video for women in history that need a show or movie, my ideas that I would definitely see is Sojourner Truth (Harriet Tubman already got her own movie, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and the woman that she worked with for Seneca Falls, Abigail Adams, Nellie Bly, Maya Angelou, Amelia Earhart, Emily Pankhurst, any women rights leader or former slave, the side of the story from a anti feminist man and women in history to hear their side of the story, and of course Susan B Anthony. Plus Kathrine Wright because the Wright brothers get to much credit when Kathrine worked and is the reason they could experiment, lets do her some justice.

Good information. I learned a few new things in this list of royal women. I hope the next video is about women in History who did the amazing and unbelievable things in life such as Amelia Earhart and some other ones. Another episode should be about Women Soldiers who fought in wars such as Fa Mulan, Deborah Sampson aka Private Robert Shurtleff, Molly Pitcher, etc.
Deborah Sampson is my heroine and there should be a movie and/or TV show about her life. Liberty's Kids did an episode about her with Whoopi Goldberg doing the voice of Deborah Sampson, but there is new and more information about her, so some things are outdated and need to be changed. There is a woman named Judith Kalaora who portrays Deborah Sampson/Robert Shurtleff who is really good and she runs a group called History At Play where she plays other women in History as well. I love History and I heard about other women on this list whom I had never heard of before, so it was good to know.

Okay so she already has a movie made about her BUT
Queen Christina of Sweden (statements copied from Wikipedia for convenience, doesn't make them less true):
She is remembered as one of the most learned women of the 17th century. She was fond of books, manuscripts, paintings, and sculptures. With her interest in religion, philosophy, mathematics, and alchemy, she attracted many scientists to Stockholm, wanting the city to become the Athens of the North.
Also caused a scandal when she decided not to marry, [9] and in 1654 when she abdicated her throne and converted to Catholicism.
Pope Alexander VII described Christina as a queen without a realm, a Christian without faith, and a woman without shame.
She was very rebellious

Queen Anne of Great Britain should be included! Do not be fooled by how the movie 'The Favourite' made her out to be. Yes, she was in fact, diagnosed with long term illnesses but she was nothing of a weak, boring and dim ruler. Far from it! It was she who helped create Great Britain. She was courageous during military forces when needed most. She shown wisdom by making peace with France and the Netherlands via the Treaty of Utrecht when she had the chance. She and her general, the Duke of Marlborough, whom she personally appointed, achieved victory several times over the French forces of Louis XIV, including the Battle of Blenheim. And yet after all that, no one seems to remember her!

i just want to say how much I appreciate your acknowledgment of how Cleopatra has not been done justice. What's bothered me most is the portrayal of her only seeking mystics outside of herself for spiritual answers when she WAS a mystic herself. She didn't call herself Nea Isis for nothing. Also, yes, she was a light skinned Queen - one who not only led a black Kingdom but served them with her whole heart and soul. THEY were her true family. She even sacrificed the trust of her one true love for the sake of her people and her country. She loved them THAT much.

Joan of Arc, but it would probably offend too many people cause they wouldn't be able to stand that she is a Christian, and believes and trusts completely in God. The problem with some of the choices is that people these days would not want their religious backgrounds included. That is why I disagree with some of these choices, because they would not do them justice, or would fail to include any of the religious aspects.

I would love the see a series about Eleanor of Aquitaine. She was amazing. Married two kings (one of her own choice and almost got kidnapped on her way to Henry, rebelled against her second husband, went on crusade, was the regent of England for Richard and got him out of jail when he got captured on his way back to England and oh, she lived well into her 80's in the 13th century.

You missed Queen Charlotte of Great Britain. She's got so many places named after her, I lost count. Examples: Charlottesville, VA; Charlotte, North Carolina; Queen Charlotte Sound, South Island, New Zealand; etc. She had 15 children. She supported composers like George Handel and Mozart. And, she was Great Britain's first and only biracial Queen.

Grace O'Malley! Yes, we need a pirate Queen series! Queen Elizabeth, too, because they actually ended up meeting each other toward the end of their lives. It'd be so cool to see both sides of the story, told from Grace's perspective in her show, and Elizabeth's in hers, and then we get the awesome crossover when they meet for the first time.

I wouldn't waste an entire series on Catherine Howard. There isn't that much more to tell. The series Elizabeth R included 6 episodes for her life and many achievements and challenges. Given that Catherine Howard didn't get past her teens, one episode should do. Oh wait, that was covered in The Six Wives of Henry VIII.

Hatshepsut should not be an honorable mention. She should've been no. 1. Also want to see more shows/movies about Zenobia, Rani of Jhansi, Weetamoo, the Kandakes/Candaces of Meroe, Queen Charlotte of England (both of them, Artemisia of Caria, Al-Kahina of the Berber, Grand Duchess Olga Nicholaevna Romanov and Gordafarid.

Cleopatra was also not the beauty Elizabeth Taylor shaped for the modern world. In historical truth she was actually far from aesthetically attractive or canonically beautiful, and what really attracted and fascinated men into her were her charisma, culture, intelligence and political acumen.

How come no indian queen makes to the list. neither queen of jhansi who single handedly fought against british orany queen for that matter. India had queens who gave their heads fr service of country. Other than just illicit relations. Plus, its the land of the oldest civilization

To all my Greek people out there. Even though this incredible woman isn't of royal descent, she should be strongly remembered.
Laskarina Bouboulina
(The First Female Naval commander who managed to support her country in the Greek Revolution of 1821)

So why is Isabella of Castile on this list? She already got her own show recently, which is perfect. They even included it in the video (Isabel, 2011-2014.
But completely agree with the others, hopefully some shows will be indeed made of them!

ok i actually agree almost completely with this list except with #1 being Cleopatra but Catherine Howard, Eleanor of Aquitaine and Isabella of Castile definetly deserve to have a movie or show about them.

I agree! A Cleopatra tv show is in order because the movies dont depict all of her depth and genius enough. They mostly show her fashion off. Digging deeper would be wonderful.
