Her calm nature whenever she is making threats or when she is just talking is enough to make you melt with fear, true all she needs is fear to get what she wants. I stan this evil queen, hands down the best antagonist anywhere!

I remember watching Sozins Comet when it aired in 2008. When Azula says, Ill show you lightning! I was both terrified and curious at the same time. Its cool when you see Aang overpowered but definitely a different dynamic when you see Azulas lightning three times as powerful. Its like seeing a car crash; youre terrified but cant look away.

I agree, it's highly inappropriate for princesses azula to unhappy in anyway. .. A public apology is in order right! Ain't she a product of everything the fire nation is trying to accomplish. .. So for her to be publicly unhappy is to say the fire nation is wrong? Thoughts?

The dai li's mutiny in Ba Sing Se would have seemed like a complete farce if the show had not built Azula's character up so brilliantly. It was only believable because Azula really is so terrifying that it's somehow inspirational!

I remember being literally scared of her when I watched the show as a kid, but now, rewatching the series as an adult made me realize what I had missed. She was so broken and abused and I feel deeply sorry for her.
