I grew up on the soundtrack of the first movie. When Mamma Mia came out in 2008 I was only 4 years old, so Ive been obsessed with it most of my life. As a kid, I would constantly sing along to the songs and watch the movie over and over again, its how I learned to sing actually. I remember seeing the sequel the day it came out in theaters, I was so hyped for it. Both Mamma Mia films are still my favorite movies of all time and I think they always will be

I choose to believe the second movie never happened. It was a feeble money grab. The songs didnt fit the plot as well, the overall tone was just sadness because Donna was killed off, the actors were tired and Sophie seemed like she didnt really want to be there, there were elaborate dance and song numbers that did not feel authentic, and I will repeat, THEY GOT RID OF DONNA. The second film should never have been made.

The number 1 choice was obvious, but do feel that 4 moves up to 2 as we witness the anquish of Donna (and considering he had little to do Pierce did a good support act) and therefore more pivitol to the story, certainly. more so than Does your Mother know which whilst was Tania's big moment could have been replaced by Chiqutita without missing a beat.

The Western Canada Theatre Company in Kamloops, BC, Canada did a production of Mamma Mia and I almost bought tickets only to change my mind, having previously seen their production of another play called Boeing Boeing which I hated so much that I left the theatre during the intermission and I assumed this production would also suck

11: 59 when Bill slips and Donna laughs at him, is just hilarious
Also I was hopping I wouldnt see my love, my life. It is amazingly good, but it really is a tear jerker. I didnt want to start the day with crying aghhhh

In the sequel we find out Fernando is Ruby's long lost one true love. It fits in perfectly because Fernando could be Sofie's grandfather. Like mother like daughter. That's one of the reason that we need MAMA MIA 3.

ABBA songs were wonderful but listening to Meryl Streep and Pierce Brosnan butcher them with their weak voices was truly painful. Couldn't they have found actual singers? Thank goodness Amanda Seyfried has a good voice.
reply

The first was very good and was funny and great performances for both in acting and singing. Second movie created many plot holes, tonight special happens, and many older characters get less screen time.

Good choices! But I wouldve put Does Your Mother Know way upfront. Christine Baranski just stops the show with her singing, dancing, and emoting. And the male and female dancers are the icing on the cake.
reply

I'm sorry but excluding the end credits is just wrong. The end credits are as much a part of these movies as anything else, plus excluding Waterloo and Cher's Super Trouper is downright criminal
reply

Brosnan sounds better narrating Thomas The Tank Engine than he does singing ABBA songs and yes, he did narrate a Thomas special called The Great Discovery

Absolutely love Mamma Mia, and despise P2. The moment you learn they've killed off Donna, nothing can revive the film, it's on pure life support.

Am I the only person who the world who wanted Sophie and Sky's offscreen romance to work out. They were such an awesome couple. On and off screen.
reply

I agreed with almost all the songs except for the winner takes it all should be number 2 at least. Thank you! I loved watching this.
reply

It is absolutely fantastic. I enjoy every moment of Mamma Mia. Thank you every one for making it possible. Blessings
reply

No, i think you missed a few goodies, and maybe gave the sequel too many credits.
Only my opinion, though
