I think Cladia woulve been a better lead. Because they still couldve done a thing were it shows her coming to the realization of these issues more clearly like Vivian but wouldve also been able to have something holding her back and could dive deeper into the immigrant experience. Also, in the movie, she had to face all the consequences for Vivians action but they just acknowledged it and didnt speak on it any deeper. Also, it felt ljke they did a thing were she needed ro be saved by Vivian and her white mom kind of thing.

Great concept, not a good movie though. I agree with most of the comments where Lucky should have been the centered character. Vivian definitely have me white savior vibes. the perspectives that they tried to mention in the conversation was just the bare minimum or it didn't feel placed correctly. I don't know cause a part of me wish this movie was remade because I love the concept and the characters I just think the writing could have been better.

I have the book and read it back in 2018. I really enjoyed the movie and am aware of its faults. Moxie is a good intro for young women who are first getting into feminism. I recommend who liked Moxie to pick up The Nowhere Girls. Deals with really dark issues, has a lot of grey characters, and dealt with intersectionality a lot better.

Claudia: U don't get it bc ur white
Me trying to figure out how isn't Claudia white
Sorry if I lived under a rock for the last decade or so but since when are not asians white? But if U think of it no one is white. We are nude colours. Bc that's why the colours are kinda called nude colours, right? I am such a mess

I feel like Lucy should have been the protagonist of the movie because I feel like compared to our main girl, she did have stuff fighting against her and she did have something to lose. I mean, not to sound mean, but how many movies do we have of a white straight girl trying to be equal to her white male peers?

This movie was very disappointing, because girls didn't solve any off there problems, also none girls acknowledge that principal has not good at her job and she stays at her job and Mitchell never faced any consequences for his actions but his just disappeared after being 40 minutes in movie.

I just saw the movie last night, and I really like it, it wasnt perfect but I love it. It was a little simple and has a lot of situations that could be more study, and thats what I think it could be better if it was a series, then we could se more about ALL character a everyones historys

1. Seth and Vivians relationship, 2. the reason why she doesn't like John (her moms new boyfriend, 3. their friendship (Vivian and Lucy, Vivian and Claudia, 4. Who got suspended, 4. The teacher, 5. the principal and the admistration (how they covered everything up)

i dunno if its my age but this movie seems like it was written by a 12 year old girl trying to be feminist after reading one book. They cld have atleast dived deeper into the bestfriend. I kept waiting for them to get into it but nope nothing lol

Lucy should have been the main character with Vivian they use her to perpetuate the idea that black women need saving and a white character should save them.
Black girls dont need saving, but we do need people to stand up for us and stand by us.

My main issue with the movie, apart from the racism aspect, is that they only used ONE song from Bikini Kill and replayed that single song throughout the whole movie. They have plenty of other songs that wouldve been great for this movie.

This movie was perfect, really describing the issue of women being pushed down and mistreated by men and not always receiving the support they need, especially from those in power. I never read the book, but I'm glad the film was made

This movie was so good! I love how they had actors and actress that actually look like teens! And the part when her boyfriend pulled his sleeve up! Omg my expectations are way too high now for a man. 10/10 made me laugh and cry

3: 41 I actually saw that as a res flag
Like how Jordon Petersen talks about the kuttle fish males
Those who pose as feminists to get close to women

I haven't seen the movie moxie or read the book and I never heard of it before this. But this movie from what I see it needed to be made.

So a woman publicly accuses a man of rape and hes guilty without the man allowed to say his side of the story? The movie was bs
reply

The principal being related to Mitchel makes sense. The principal not doing anything never made sense in the movie
reply

Like the book better it could've been better if it was a series rather than a movie idk just my opinion
