You need a list for Sci-Fi/Fantasy
Star Trek: DS9 - Fetal transfer from Keiko to Kira to explain why Kira was pregnant.
Star Trek: VGR - Mostly hidden, but a Holodeck scene incorporated the belly on LT Torres.
Stargate SG-1 - Vala was impregnated by the ORI.
Stargate Atlantis - Teyla had Torren John because the actress was pregnant. There was even a hand squeezing, kidney stone equivalent, no doctor (MD, since Rodney IS a Dr but a Ph. D one and made a whole rant) delivery scene.
Stargate Universe - TJ is pregnant by her CO because the actress was pregnant and the character development was actually made better due to this forced plot change. The baby doesn't survive premature birth.
Charmed (Old AND Reboot) -
Eureka - Allison Blake had Jenna.
Xena - Solan exists because of Lucy.
Farscape - Grayza
Falling Skies - Dr Glass had Lexi because Bloodgood was pregnant.
Grimm - Adalind/Kelly story line (Bree's was hidden however)
Angel as well as X-Files, OUAT and Alias were mentioned here and would fit in a Top 15 scifi/fantasy list.

Jane Leeves was pregnant twice during her time as Daphne on Frasier. Her first pregnancy, in the show's 8th season, right after Daphne and Niles became a couple, was explained by having Daphne gain 60 pounds due to binge eating, over her fear of being unable to live up to Niles's perfect image of her. Then, when she gave birth to her daughter and went on maternity leave in real life, her absence was explained by Daphne going to a weight loss spa. Her second pregnancy was actually written into the show's 11th and final season, and she gave birth to her and Niles's son David (named after series creator David Angell, who was tragically killed on 9/11) in the series finale. Her second child in real life also happened to be a boy.

Kelly Stables's pregnancy was written into 'The Exes' as well. It was a little bit similar to Lisa Kudrow's surrogate line (big boss's baby) but it was pretty funny. When she came back for the next season the line was pretty funny too when the actress said she still has 12 to go to reach pre-pregnancy weight her giant boss (Kristen Johnston) asked how could you possibly need to lose 12 more pounds. She replied I meant ounces and Kristen said you're fired. It always crack me up when I watch re-runs.

Really? How is Bernadette not here! They never planned on giving Howard and Bernadette a second child but when Melissa Rauch became pregnant, they decided to write it into the show, despite the fact that they just had their first kid six months ago. The last two seasons of TBBT heavily touched on the struggles of parenting, especially when having two young toddlers of similar ages and it became a much more pivotal arc in the show than a lot of these pregnancies were.

You left out Elizabeth Montgomery in Bewitched, Rosanne Barr in Rosanne, and Melissa Rauch in The Big Bang Theory. Elizabeth Montgomery did it twice! Interesting thing about TBBT is that Bernadette and Howard already had a child (on-screen pregnancy only, then a year later Melissa Rauch becomes pregnant for real and the incorporate it as Bernadette's 2nd pregnancy!

What's Interesting About The I Love Lucy Plot Line, Is That In The Season 1 Episode The Audition, As Well As The Pilot Episode It Was Based Off, Lucy Said Something That Made Ricky Think She Was Pregnant, It's Interesting Due To The Fact That Lucille Ball WAS Pregnant At The Time, So It Runs Deeper Than Lucy Is Enciente.

Melanie Scrofano (Wynonna Earp) from Wynonna Earp was pregnant before they started filming season two and she was worried the show was going to be canceled. The showrunner ended up rewriting season two of the show and Melanie Scrofano had her baby days after they wrapped filming.

Quite frankly, if number 1 had not been Lucy I would have said something. None of the others would have even been possible without this powerhouse woman paving the way for it to be ok. Not to be cheesy(but I will anyway, I absolutely love Lucy and what she represents.

The fact you put Angel up on this list is so tone deaf. The writers had to write it in and Joss Whedon got upset by this pregnancy that he basically destroyed Cordie as a character and treated the actress horribly on set while she was pregnant. Gross.
reply

they kind of have no choice. the alternatives are to use a stunt double or to go out of their way to accommodate the actress. for example season 1 of parks & rec had to be filmed all back-to-back and in one shot because amy poehler was pregnant

Nana Visitor on Deep Space Nine. They wrote the pregnancy into the show by making ANOTHER character pregnant and then putting hte baby into Major Kira. On top of that the real father was Alexander Siddig who played Dr. Bashir on the show.

Melissa Rauch on The Big Bang Theory

Didn't know about Bones. But how about dr. Linda Martin from Lucifer? Heard that her pregnancy was also out of script and put into it because actress was pregnant during the filming of season 4
reply

How can you forget Laurie Metcalf on Roseanne! Her real-life pregnancy was written into the show's 6th season and provided many hilarious and heartfelt moments for her character Jackie.
reply

Ginnifer Goodwin went into labor while filming the scene where she cast the dark curse using Charming's heart. So that emotion of pain is real. Different pain, but it was real.
reply

Melanie Scrofano was pregnant with her second son and it was worked into the Wynonna Earp script that Wynonna was pregnant with Doc's baby daughter. It was really well hidden.

What about piper halliwell in the original charmed she was pregnant in real life and they wrote it into the show. I think it was with wyatt her first on the show
reply

What about Kelli Giddish from Law & Order: SVU. The producers wrote both her real life pregnancies into the show. Her first in season 17 and her second in season 20
reply

I am very disappointed they didn't mention Nana Visitor's pregnancy during the run of Deep Space Nine, especially given the weird sci-fi circumstances in-universe.
reply

Why does everyone ignore Its always sunny in Philadelphia? Dee was pregnant with Macs baby for a whole season and they wrote it off as she was a surgote
