It's farcical and tongue-in-cheek, but I like the end of Honeymoon in Vegas. I don't even remember the characters' names played by Nicolas Cage and Sarah Jessica Parker, but he has a convoluted trek to get to her, culminating in him joining a group of skydiving Elvis impersonators, thwarting the older man trying to steal her, played by James Caan.

I watched the boombox scene years before I watched Say Anything. I thought it would be a pivotal point it the film, winning her (back, but in fact it has no effect on the plot. She simply ignores him & it isn't mentioned by anyone. Why is it such a well-known scene?

I've never been a fan of Romcoms, but in my opinion, nothing will ever be greater than the standing in the rain with a boombox over the head with a cheesy love song blasting lol Say Anything was and will forever be my one exception to Romcoms lol

As much as I love grand gestures in movies, I don't think I'd want one in real life. Like if someone asks you out or proposes to you in front of a big crowd, I would feel obligated to yes because I don't wanna look like a jerk.
