I think this theory, that I just made up, would explain why Ursula was banished. so when Ursula was living in the kingdom she was not evil. In fact, she was kinda like ariel in the fact that she was curious about the outside world. One day while she was surfacing like usual she heard one of the ships passing by playing music and singing shanties. little did she know she was hearing music. Music or not she knew she liked what she was hearing and she tried explaining music and even tried recreating it to triton and his wife. sense ariels mom liked this so-called music and triton striving to keep his wife happy he excepted music and so did the whole kingdom. Music was loved and even more, as it grew it started to change and evolve. Triton even had a music box made for his wife that played their love song. Ursulas favorite part of the music was the singing. Although Ursula didnt have the most beautiful voice she still loved singing and even strived for the best singing voice. But around this same time, ariels mom was closing to her doom. When the tragedy happened triton got angry and started to hate humans and music ultimately leading him to banish Ursula for introducing music and he band music from his kingdom. But she would get her revenge on his youngest and finally get the voice she has been dreaming for.

Ursula will probably get a more fleshed out backstory during The Little Mermaid live action just like Tremaine got during Cinderella.
I think Jafar's backstory in the Aladdin live action puts everything in place for a prequel (or 2, his life as a thief, what happened in Shirabad, how he became the vizer, his role in the death of Jasmine's mother (former princess of Shirabad) and how did he learned about the cave of wonders. So much potential for an Aladdin spin off.

Since Izma, Scar, Zira, and Shadow Man's backstop is not told by Serene Valentino, Once Upon A Time, or any other villian tale, they would be a good story. The story wouldn't sound too good for adults with Scar and Zira because they are animals so it would have a childlike theme. Shadow Man has a more promising tale as he is cunning, sneaky, use dark magic, and has a true dark side. Serene Valentino this should be your next book about Disney villians!

Originally, Dr Facilier was intended to be Mama Odie's son on the first drafts of the Princess and the Frog, with Facilier's desire and greed taking over him and causing him to fall into the dark aspects of voodoo. it's also planned that both Mama Odie and Dr Facilier have their final showdown at the graveyard, behind the lights and sound of mardi gras, the forces of light against the forces of shadow, making it the climactic battle of the film.

Yeah Regina Mills is the EVIL QUEEN, anyone else is just a knock off, and actually I prefer the Captain Hook/Killian Jones from Once Upon A Time too! & I know im alone in this opinion BUT I ACTUALLY enjoyed the EVIL version of Peter Pan from the Once Upon A Time TV show as well lol. AND I mean I think anybody who has seen the show will agree that O. U. A. T. Had the best depiction if Rumplestiltskin

Makes me wonder about Oogie Boogies past. I know there are video games that give us details but it would be interesting to see what made Oogie evil on film. Like was he friends with Jack before he became the Pumpkin King or exactly when he was crowned? How did he get into gambling or the interest of it? And why does he like to torture, kill and eat his victims? Tim Burton, we need answers!

I really would want Frollo origin. Maybe it would be revealed that he himself was abused as child by his father or mentor who were previous priest or Minister and who taught him that all gypsies are evil and must be wiped out. Maybe he was once kind and nice young boy just like Quasimodo but grew up into monster we know today.

I think personally that Frollo would have the most interesting backstory because he is the most real and complex. He is a very well written character and if I had to pick only one Disney villain to have their stand alone movie it would totally be Judge Claude Frollo.

Dr Facilier origin would be also cool. Maybe it would be revealed that he just like Tiana grew up in poor and impoverished family and that he was cruelly bullied, abused and mistreated by rich people which would explain is lust for power and hatred of wealthy and rich.

If you are into reading and tragic villain backstories, read Heartless by Marissa Meyer. It is my favourite book! It's about the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland and it is GUARANTEED to rip your own heart right out and stomp on it. In a good way though

Once Upon A Time gave focus to many People here, like the evil queen, AKA Regina, Mother Gothel, Rumplestilskin, the queen of hearts, aka Cora and Captain Hook
Even Ursela too

Instead individual live action movie, i think it will be cool to turn it into tv shows called the origin of evils with each episode tells one villain origins with 45 minutes length and ofc it will be aired in Disney hotstar

the one with Hades is the one I'm interested and if they make him more heroic like Maleficent then the story could be be much more greek accurate which could pave the way for it's first R-rated disney live action

The female villains have a better story line which could make for a great movie. I love the Male villains too but not on the same level. It could be that the majority of the victims are females.

It's pretty cool that a lot of the musicals are already giving the villains some background - for example Lord Frollo in the Hunchback of Notre Dame. And also love your ideas for the movies!

I would honestly love a movie about Gothel and would love to see who Cassandra's dad is. As for the Queen of Hearts, there's an amazing book called Heartless that goes into her past.

If they do make a live action movie for Jafar they should bring back Marwan Kenzari. And if Dr. Facilier gets his own film, it would be BLASPHEMOUS to not give the role to Keith David

Hades not being further up, be it James Woods' version or Cheyenne Jackson's feels wrong xD I'm not super keen on Descendents but Cheyenne did so damn well in it. As did Jamal Sims.

The problem with this Live action remake talk is - the animations paired with the voice actors, are what made 80% of the characters. Live action kinda diminishes that a bit.

I'm after watching Cruella. Great movie. I grew up With 101 Dalmatians. After watching Cruella, I never looked at her, Dalmatians or the film in the same way as I used to.

Well here's one that will probably never be made but I would definitely like to see what a creative writer can do with it so here's my idea.
Disney's Chernabog

Yzma's original backstory was that she was the royal morticians daughter and that he taught her dark magic, but it would be amazing to watch that play out
